Well he was making some good progress before his break. Well lets hope he's back on the same development and turns into the player we all think he will. At the moment he is doing well and we will have a better idea come end of season. Having Ozil in the team will only help his and Wilshere's development.
Interesting read and both players seem to talk a lot of sense. They are a credit to the Arsenal and England team.
Personally I think he's almost there already. Last season he cemented his place in the Arsenal MF and he has become an integral part of this team. I'm really pleased for the bloke because his injury was terrible and could have ended his career, he struggled when he came back, but he got his head down and got on with it. It's testament to his mental strength that he got through those tough times when some fans were slating him. He is a quality player and we're seeing that now, plus at just 22 years old he has still got it all ahead of him
In other news, Bendtner is now #23. Hopefully he can have the same impact as our former #23 did when he first arrived
He gets up to too much nonsense. He really needs to knuckle down and concentrate. He's been given another golden opportunity, so he better not blow it!
Yeah. His comments seem to have indicated his ego has been reduced. I remember a couple of seasons ago he scored some very crucial goals for us as a super sub.
Bendtner is probably one of the luckiest footballers around at the moment, being given another chance at Arsenal. He could have been plying is trade in the championship by now and yet despite his staggering fall from grace, he's now got the opportunity to prove that he can be effective for Arsenal again. You have to remember that he actually played pretty well for us and scored some important goals. As mentioned this is a golden opportunity for him and I hope he grasps it.
He can be useful in the Prem with his size and presence. He did score a fair few crucial goals but this depends on if he gets his **** together. Agreed Piskie, he is one lucky sob for getting another chance at Arsenal. Better players have come and gone and been given lesser of a chance. Saying that, Arsene does give you a fair wack and if you don't make it then he shops you off. I think Bendy has been fortunate and clever with refusing to leave Arsenal. It's hard to argue that he's taken advantage of the contract that we gave him. It's not like we've tried to get rid!
Some rumours today about us potentially trying to get Marco Reus in the future. That would be as a good transfer as the Ozil one, IMO.
Whilst i'm still sceptical of the Ozil transfer, if we were to sign Reus, i would wet myself with excitement. He's the player we need, can play on both wings, in the middle or even as a striker if needed. Only issue is that Reus is a die-hard Dortmund fan, it would take a lot to make him leave (the fact we have his idol (Rosicky) playing for us helps a bit).
Getting one of Bender or Gundogen would be a very good addition to our team, and a quality striker, and we're world beaters. Think we have a better chance of Bender, this is his 5th season at Leverkusen, so he'd be up for a new challenge, and we're a definite step up to Leverkusen.
Agreed that Gundogan or Bender would make us top drawer (along with a striker), but i still wouldn't mind another winger.
We will have to wait for the Jan transfer window. Will we be in store for some more suprises? I wouldn't mind at all.
According to Sky, we could be signing free agent Cirprian Marica, formerly of Schalke, as a backup to Giroud. He's not great, but he's got to be better than Bendtner http://www1.skysports.com/news/12040/8911741/
Just watched a vid of him on youtube, doesn't even look good on that. Would be a deadwood signing IMO.
