Thanks for the help.I have done this and my record is good (as a jinx that is and you may be pleased to know that I have no Spurs players in my side!)
I avoid Spurs players like the plague in FF. Not having Bale killed my chances last year

Whilst i agree it must be a dream to be able to play the ball on to Ronaldo to finish it off, if you take away his assists for Ronaldo last season he still has more assists then any player at Arsenal did.
Adebayor, Berbatov, Le Tissier, Arshavin could all have been really top players
Not because I'm being biased as a Spurs fan but I'd say Berbatov is or at least was a top player. His first touch was the best I've seen and he managed to make Keane and Defoe look twice as good as what they were/are. Plus didn't he win golden boot in one of his seasons with Utd? Add that to one or two league titles.
United fan here in peace, i hope you finish above Arsenal this season, i can't stand the Ozil w(a)nkfest.
I think Villa wanted to go back to A. Madrid. And at the time he was available we where confident of landing a big name striker. So i can understand why we missed out there.
Whilst i agree spurs have gone about there business in a good manner i think you may have overspent on some players, but i guess that was the cost of getting the deals wrapped up quickly. Arsenal needed to bring in at least oneworld class player and some squad depth, we got the WC player and a couple of players for depth but not quite enough. We also cleared all the deadwood at last! So although it wasn't exactly what we hoped for i think tehre are some big positives to be taken from the window.
We shall have to make up for not strengthening all the areas we needed to in the January window and hope we don't get too many injuries before then.
Carrick, it might just be we'll finish above you because you are not guaranteed a top four slot are you? It's alright for you to say finish above Arsenal but both of us might finish above you.
Liverpool were a Champions League fixture until recently. I'm not saying that either team dropping out is likely, but Arsenal's squad looks pretty thin and Moyes is no Ferguson, so far.
The Goons could address their depth in January and Man Utd might become a good fit for Moyes over time, but they're both unknown factors at the moment.
I accept they have issues, just we expect too much from a team that has potential. Arsenal and Utd both have proven established players and a team unit that works.
Add Liverpool into the mix and even though fans are saying we have an amazing squad, there is a fairly high chance we could finish 6th or 5th.
So if AVB gets us top 4, you'll be lavishing praise on him with us![]()
LOL if he does then yes, Ill join the Avb bandwagon, do one of his famous fist pumps , and then start being hard on him next year!

I'm hoping the mighty Spurs juggernaut starts revving up the league, but our loss to a very weakened Arsenal makes me doubt, once again, the belief that our squad has in itself.
Given the recent past, I'm desperate for success now. But, well, there's good news and bad news. The bad news is it won't happen this year, probably. Take a look at the last time AVB had a team selected to fit his system. They were disappointing for a few months, and it cost AVB his job--no doubt partly because they needed time to learn to play together.
I'm happy the goons have'nt strengthened, where they should have.Ozil won't have any effect.if they are shipping goals as well as scoring them, and as i've said sooner or later that will happen, like last season
