True. Though from memory it bears only a passing nod to any accent emanating from anywhere in the African continent.

To be fair to the film though, I really should watch it again before being too critical. I watched it immediately after reading quite a lot of documentation and books about the conflict and just got annoyed immediately at how sanitised parts were. When you go into a film already annoyed at it, it tends to take a fair whack to get you back to a fair footing!

I shall watch it again!
 
If you read, read the book first. Brilliant. written by Cormac McCarthy

I've got the border trilogy and simply cannot get past the first few pages. The movie adaptations of his books that I've seen are all superb though so maybe I'll try again. As for the Last King of Scotland, the movie nearly cost Forest Whitaker his marriage by all accounts. He simply "wore" the role permanently both on and off set and was apparently unbearable. Imagine that!
