I have to disagree with you.If Man Utd really wanted Fellaini from day one why didn't they just pay his release clause rather than pay more for him on the last day of the window ? Why did they make three attempts to buy Fabregas if they really wanted Fellaini ?
Do we even know the papers got his release clause right? I said linked to (not first choice), and they were very obviously linked to Fellaini, and were interested in him even in previous seasons.
We got Ozil, in a position we weren't in need for the most, without being linked to him and without Wenger indicating that it's a position he wants to strengthen. There's far more basis to say that our transfer was conciliatory in a way when things weren't going our way in more needed areas, and the transfer season as a whole less organized than even United's.
