I don't understand the transfer window. Every manager says they wish it closed before the season starts, yet none of them actually do their business early. I find it farcical that you have a situation after the window closes that people are waiting to see if a player was signed in time. It's been open all summer and they try to do all their deals today as late as possible. Just... why?

We've had a great transfer window.

Allam made more money available to Bruce, so money will still be available again in Jan.

At least one of Sagbo, Graham or Gedo will come good.

And we still have Aluko and Brady as back up strikers.
