Wenger is just subborn with his beliefs, as he wants to create successful team based around young players he has moulded and given a chance to and has gone close a few times. Think it was the season when Adebayor scored 24 goals.

Thats why he doesn't spend, as he wants to let a team grow while bringing in the odd big signing like Carzola.

In many ways I admire him for his ability to create exciting, fluid attacking teams, 15 years of creating football any team would be proud of at times, is no mean feat.

but his stubbornness has allowed to take over and if we had more ambition in recent years we could have overtaken them, but I finally looks like we're going to actually go for it and not try and do It on the cheap.

Smack on Boss. I was talking to a Chelsea supporter about my concerns that we'll turn into a Man City to which he replied spending big is the only way to achieve success these days. Sadly I had to agree.

The main difference is we're sending money we have from player sales, so essentially all we have done Is sold fringe player's, bale is off for 84 million and thats paid for all our new player's,.

Really its a once in lifetime opportunity, as I doubt this will happen again, plus it allows levy to say hes spending big (which he is) but Enic aren't funding some mega spending spree like city and Chelsea, its smart and risk free as even if some players flop they can be sold.

But as you say, the only way is to spend big, otherwise its virtually impossible to get where we want to unless we have a magican like arry in charge LOL.

The chavs look like loaning Moses to the mousers, they don't see them as rivals then.

One of the more bizarre signings I've seen, no way is he a top4 player, didn't think it'd be long before JM shipped him and Marin out, they'd be lucky to get a domestic cup game.

Wasn't Marin someone that we were looking at and the chavs bought him to try to stifle us. Perhaps we should bid £35 M for Bramble.

What I meant is his present team and his last Boss,I'm not thick. Swansea bottom,Liverpool top. Anyway I take Gerrard to score giving Pool a 2-0 win.

Mousers look good except their keeper, they've looked good ever since Goofy got banned. Well balanced with pace, good on the counter. Fortunately Sewerage will be back soon.

I thought the lack of quality in the game was embarrassing. I know it was a 'derby' etc, but dearie me, for two of the 'best teams' in the country that was poor fare.

Even without the best player in Britain (and Bale looks a country mile ahead of anything on show today at Anfield) appearing for us, I still expect far more quality to be displayed in a real derby as North London clashes with South London.

I feel sorry for NBC, they've paid a fortune to sell soccer to the Yanks, but so far the Prem this year has been disappointing.

Not that I care if we scuff a 1-0 BTW, but to me we're one of NBC's best bets of a proper show of football ATM.

I wish I could be as confident about us beating Arsenal as I was that Pool would edge it today. I thought as Gerrard is the man for the big occasion that he'd score but 1-0 will please BR.

Get Mourinho Manchester because Moyes is not the right man for you. You'll do alright against the lower teams but not as convincingly as in the past but you'll struggle against the top teams.

Looks like it. They couldn't even beat United.

Really? He's been phenomenal for us so far. Bit flappy at times and needs to improve his distribution.

Three 1-0 wins Zingy, I have a feeling that you might open up soon. Mind you a third 1-0 win would do me today.

What worries me is that we are yet to turn up for a 2nd half.

Yes I noticed that too which could be bad news IF you're behind at half time. Stoke almost drew at Anfield and you did have a good win against a tricky Villa but if you look back at my posts I said you'd edge it today. Utd are failing and City are finding it tough at the moment so things MIGHT be between you and us this season.

Usually teams that have storming starts fade off. Would like us to maintain some sort of challenge, up to Xmas. Will be interesting to see how the 3 big guns (Utd, Chelsea and City) do. And whether the likes of Spurs and Liverpool can put pressure on them.

Problems with crosses mate. Never a good sign. However, your side does look well balanced and playing attractive football, Perhaps Henderson looks a bit weak but hey-ho, don't complain about that while you are winning. Hopefully Sewerage's return will put an end to that. Make you more predictable and easier to defend against.

reports in spain suggesting that despite Real and Arsenal agreeing a deal for Ozil, he's set to snub them.
