I think there is not a hope in hell that chelsea will sell mata and or torres to a rival... it is generally accepted that your first team is strong but you lack squad depth so it would be weird that chelsea would help you to close the gap on them. I think you will sign players but think that you will be forced to pay a lot more for your targets.
Jesus, this will be tense. I wish I could just go to bed after the NLD and not get up til Tuesday morning and see who we signed.
You could, but you'd be very hungry by then. Wenger wouldn't even let a journalist finish a question about him working with a Director of Football. It's very clear he wields the power at Arsenal - he decides the targets, and the bids, and the wages. Dick Law deals with contracts, Ivan deals with the commercial side, but everything to do with the team is down to Wenger.
Viviano (goalie, Fiorentina) set for an Arsenal medical. 1 yr loan deal w option to buy from what I hear.

Speaking of goalkeepers, I heard on Radio 5 Live just now that Wenger was offered Begovic, but the stubborn bastard apparently doesn't rate the Stoke goalie. Go figure! Can't confirm if true, but it sounds like Wenger.
Begovic has his faults too. When Arsenal fans talk about other GK's they never hold them to the same standards that they hold Szczesny to. Look at the Liverpool - Stoke game. If Szczesny had conceded that goal people would have been using it as proof that he needs to be dropped.
Mentally weak is what I heard a while back, doesn't cope with pressure and a nervous character apparently
I heard the other day that Wenger looks for specific traits in players, strong mentality happens to be on the list so that's probably why he was rejected..
Thing is, it's so hard to measure that. I wonder how Wenger does it, and how many players he's rejected based on whatever subjective principles he applies.
Perhaps he measures it based on keepers he has had in the past, i.e. Almunia who cost us so many games. He is now unwilling to go for anyone he senses has self doubt. I don't really know.
Good keeper, has 8 caps for Italy, and was part of the Fiorentina side that nearly made the CL last season.
Thinking about it, if we're going back and signing players we've tried to sign in the past, i predict tomorrow we'll sign Keisuke Honda and Jefferson Farfan
some website mentioned as "AS" say Man Utd and PSG are battling for Ozil's signature, whilst sky sources report that arsenal are in "advanced talks" over Ozil. all off the sky sports website, but lets see what happens. he didnt play at all today so who knows.
Ozil stuff is all over twitter. Seems likely, all the major Spanish sources are reporting it, Cadena Ser, AS, Marca, Al Jazeera, everywhere. That would be unbelievable.
