Now logically, what percentage of the fans would just be random tourists who got lucky and snagged a ticket. We all know if they are in the home section 99.99% of the time they are Gunners who got tickets to the game, foreign or not. To try and claim you're a better fan because they weren't born in England is pure unadulterated bullshit

Or they're people who registered as a red member just to get tickets to a specific game that happened on a weekend that they'd booked to visit Britain, and do whaetever tourists do, look at buckingham palace, look at trafalgar square, admire nelson's column, take seats from people who actually support Arsenal etc.

I would have thought a lifelong fan like you would have been a Junior Gunner when you were a kid

Parents thought it was irresponsible to take a kid to a football match (i feel that way now, the family section should be abolished, and more normal seats put in). Plus train travel down to London is expensive (if you want to avoid the cattle, it costs around £80 per person for a return)

So if they are a RED MEMBER which team do you think they support? Use your head here. And if they get tickets to a game when they happen to be in the area WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH THAT? Yeah tourists do that.

    One who travels for pleasure.

So does this mean all fans in the stadium are tourists too? Because I sure as hell wouldn't go to the games not to be entertained and leave happy.

Might have changed since you registered in 1472. The way i remember it being is that you register your details, pay some money (was roughly £35 to renew this year), you get your member number (and a nice little card too), then you can apply for tickets after a month. At least that what happened when i did it.

You're just taking the piss now aren't you.
As well as not wanting people with foreign sounding names or who speak a foreign language going to games you also want to stop cheaper seats for children.

For god's sake, just because they register with Arsenal as a red member, doesn't mean they're an Arsenal fan. If i go and register with the Spuds as a member (**** knws how they do their tickets, i think you have to cook a hotpot), does that make me a Spud? No, it makes me someone who's aim is to watch a spurs match while in the area. Only takes 5 minutes to get to Arsenal from St Pancreas, makes us easy pickings for the eurotrash daytripper.

So you'd agree that foreigners just can't just become a member and buy tickets straight away?

So you want to stop the future generation of fans being able to go to games

If you're booking a holiday, you book months in advance. If you're planning on going to london, what's to stop you from booking an Arsenal ticket one month in advance (the usual period when red-level tickets go on sale), and just going along at the expense of someone who actually wants to go, because you're going on Holiday to the place anyway.

I'm going to go on a weekend break in albaniastan, and book tickets to watch their best team, and take the seat of someone who would want to be there, just because i can.

    Paybacks a bitch.

They all have computers now, watch online until they're able to comprend what's actually going on.

maybe a pre-match IQ test should be in order? If you score below 120, you can't come in.
