I asked this very question on the Pool board. The consensus seemed to be he will be tolerated if he puts in a shift. You may need to sign out to view <whistle>

Yes, it has been a long time since the Mousers permitted me to put across intelligent questions in the vein.

Surely, I've served my ban by now? Even murderers get let out of prison after 4 years.

Something of a thread serial killer you are.

A great start for 'Pool, and most Mousers will now fancy their chances for the title. Shame that it was only Stoke, though. Can't really see that 'Pool side standing up to the bigger teams (ie. the 8 or so teams above them).

Still, as they always say, you can only beat the team they put in front of you.

Begovic is bloody hard to put a ball past. Plus stoke actually look like playing now under Hughs. Reckon they'll nab some wins against better teams this season.

Liverpool looked decent. Pressed very hard often winning the ball in stoke's half. Should have scored more than 1 and that was without their "best" player.
Coutinho looks a very good player, him and Suarez together will worry anyone although I get the feeling a Pulis stoke might have nullified him early (with an illegal kicking or something)

Defence was so-so, but it was the opening game. I thnk stoke are poor yet they got some chances, 2 were from mignolet, but I'm positive he will improve to his form from last season

Ffs Spurm HIAG will be on your case for giving us a couple of positives.<laugh>

I'm sometimes positive about 'Pool, too. It's not my fault that those opportunities seldom arise.

Yes, you had a great start yesterday, and looked very good at times. But let's not get carried away, is all I am saying to you Mousers. Remember, it was only against Stoke. Repeat that performance against the big boys, like City, United, Chelsea, and us, and you'll earn yourself some greater praise.

I can't be any fairer than that, can I?

You could be fair to United, City and Chelsea and not include yourselves in their bracket.

...after only two games against two very average sides.
<doh>

Read this (written by some numpty commentator on the BBC Football Live page):

"Looks like a three-horse race for the title with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United, and a three-horse race between Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham for fourth. Exciting."

Sorry, but... <doh>

'Pool has absolutely no chance of getting 4th. Finishing above Everton will be a very good start for them, I think.

When it comes to delusion no one can touch Lafferpool fans.
They'll be 6th at best.

In fairness they've done everything they need to do - 2 games 2 wins. Personally I won't be resting easy until they start losing some games. I honestly think that if they win the league again in my lifetime i might top myself.

Don't worry, Dan, Everton has more chance of winning the title than 'Pool. The glory days for 'Pool are well and truly over, and won't be back again for a very, very long time.

Yes, they've had two wins, and all credit to them. But can you really see them getting a result against the top 6 sides?

I can't.
