It takes more than winning your first two games to win the title. No marathon runner pats themselves on the back when they reach the end of the street. It's just the start.
Yes and it's very hard to run 26 miles around Liverpool without finishing up in the Mersey (or under it).
Meh. Chelsea needed a goal by someone who shouldn't have been on the field. Also a helping hand from the ref to not to give Villa a penalty to win their game. At home.
He won't know what to do with himself with two teams that rely on ref's decisions Hope he's got a spare whistle or two on him.
BR re-creating the delusion with comments after two games against average teams. For the first time I sensed the mousers were 'getting real'. But now normal service has resumed!
Villa have proved they have a very good offensive outfit, and I believe will ruin a fair few teams on the counter this season. We contained them extremely well, and I'm hoping Benteke found his way out of Toure's pocket and made it home last night! BR - Is clearly going to optimistic, why wouldn't he be? His job includes keeping the optimism flowing between players and fans, he's been great in the press etc. to be honest. Best start for 5 years. 10 games unbeaten. Sturridge looks like the real deal, and he's only 80% match fit. Suarez to come back soon (rumours of a new contract being signed??) - probably bollocks and Madrid might well snap him up in January. I think the fans are more grounded and know the reality of how hard it'll be this season - we'll give it our best shot, and see what happens
He should be optimistic but keep it within the camp, within the group and remain grounded. The rest can see with their eyes. Have that quiet confidence and don't get the fans hopes up so high that expectations become unrealistic. He made comments about a 'top two' finish last year, and looked a fool. Pool like a decent outfit but there is a long way to go.
http://espnfc.com/match?id=341104&cc=5901 Try again. Just found out,one shot on target has only ever been acheived by 2 teams in Prem history. You and Barnsley.
His comments last year were unashamedly blown out of proportion by rival fans. We all know it's a long road back.
