What's the fee? Tottenham have made some decent signings; is this to replace Bale or is he no longer going?

I read somewhere today that Madrid were going to offer £93m + Contraeo. Absoultely insane. No person is worth that much.

Isn't Coentrao ace?

A club record £30m apparently.

Which is about the same as Anzhi Makachkala paid for him in January.

They were on about £50m-ish for both Willian and Lamela from Roma.

I'm expecting Bale to leave any moment looking at the players they are bringing in.

This summer, if Bale goes, Spurs will have brought in Soldado, Capoue, Chadli, Willian, Paulinho, Coentrao and Lamela all for just over the money they'll get for Bale. Absolutely insane.

No wonder Huddlestone left, that's pretty much a brand new midfield and forward line!

Marcelo was injured a big chunk of last season.

Still - he's a big improvement on Assou Ekotto(sic) isn't he?

Tottenham have agreed to sign Roma star Erik Lamela on a 6 year contract.

Rumoured to be almost £25-30m, Spurs are really going for it.

Aye, mentioned that in the above post (1005) - Bale must be on the verge of leaving in the next few days.

That's all I was basing it on tbh. I thought he was ace at that tournament along with Jordi Alba.

He was great in that tournament. Didn't see enough of Real to make a completely full judgement of him, but what I did see of him he played well.

He's been a shadow of himself since the tournament. Now he fouls all the time and contanstly speaking to the refs. Maybe Spurs will bring the old Coentrão back...

If Spurs had Mourinho in charge and got Lamela, Coentrão and Willians in addition to their current squad (bar Bale), they'd win the league. Sadly for them they have Villas-Boas, so it looks like a UEFA Cup spot again.

I think they made a huge mistake selling Caulker to Cardiff. He will be a first choice future England CB IMO.

Spurs are top 4 for certain looking at their new and improved squad.

Arsenal are looking in pretty bad shape. Liverpool might even challenge above them.
