That's got to be pretty solid evidence that Butterfield isn't in Hughton's immediate plans. Six month loan deal likely?

Bit worrying about the Becchio injury! I suspect it's nothing too serious, but at the moment Wolfswinkel is our only fit striker! I'm with Rob that I can't see Butterfield being involved much this season, so a loan seems likely.

I think butterfield was a hangover signing caught between the lambert and Hughton eras and it has affected him.

We are likely to build on our quality and players will fall by the wayside.

Someone on twitter has been tweeting comments from McNally at tonight's AGM:

"Hooper's not broken his leg, not a long term injury, not ruled out of Saturday (but in a lot of pain)"

"we're not panicking on a Monday morning because a player is injured"

"desperately important for Declan Rudd to get games...come back to us an improved player"

""in the modern era it is a huge achievement for #ncfc to win the Youth Cup Final...one Chelsea sub cost £4m"

""out recruitment team says the Murphy boys should play in the PL eventually...4 or 5 youth who should play a part"

"the only analysis of the @Grantholt31 situation was thanks for a fantastic 4 years. 12 months ago CH was adamant that he wanted @Grantholt31 in his squad, so we immediately worked to keep him"

It still amazes me that we have the best league in the world and the worst telly coverage in the world. I'm still pondering a foreign subscription for streaming, if I can find one that does HD so I can channel my laptop feed through my telly.

Actually, what amazes me is that people keep on insisting we have "the best league in the world". At the very least that should be qualified by explaining what "best" means in this context. The best marketed? The most exciting to watch? The highest standard of football? The most internationally successful in terms of inter-league competitions? And so on. We certainly don't have the best players in the world playing in the PL. <ok>

okay Robbie, if further qualification of my post is required, in terms of "best league in the world" I would say in terms of the standard of football and quality. For sure we don't have the best players.

watched the season preview on BT sport last night, hosted by Jake H. it was ok actually, they had warnock, owen, hargreaves, james and mcmanaman in the studio. also mark halsey is going to be doing match commentary for them.

the four ex-players all had a predicted league, macca and hargreaves had us finished about 14/15th but both owen and james had us down as 18th. Jake was not happy!

The best thing about BT Sports is we'll have Jake fighting our corner for the season!

<ok> though I'm not sure that everyone would agree with you on that. Re. "the worst telly coverage", are you wanting your cake and to eat it at the same time by any chance? Such quality as the PL has is not unrelated to the amount of money pouring into it from TV. We could improve coverage nationwide by forcing the PL to give the BBC the rights to televise all PL games then stand back and watch the financial meltdown .................. <ok>

Only two criticisms - I'm not sure that you could say Snodgrass had a disrupted season and it looks from the comments that he originally called Pilks "Kevin".

Mercifully free of cheap Partridge/Delia jokes and some juicy stats for one or two of you to get your teeth into.

I was referring to the current coverage by Sky and BT Sports, a lot of TV stations around the world show all the games, NBC Sports for instance. I personally pay for Sky and the PL coverage is pants, as a NCFC supporter I would like to be able to watch all of their matches live. Of course there are various laws/restrictions governing the broadcast of matches and those need to change first.

Does the comment not refer to Snodgrass's pre-season, which you have to say was disrupted after his pregnant girlfriend (wife?) having that awful car crash up north?

That's a pretty good account, can't say I disagree with much of it though it's a little disingenuous to include the cup game against Villa as one where we conceded four and then not include Simeon's cup goals in his tally (didn't he score three/four in total rather than just the one?)

When I was backpacking around the globe a few years ago now and was both surprised and absolutely delighted to discover that in many bars/restaurants in S Asia you can watch the Saturday PL 3pm kick-offs live (9pm with the time difference) which was something I was unaware of. I've subsequently found out that this is the case around many other parts of the world so it has always seemed a bit odd that someone in a little village in the north of Cambodia can be watching live Premiership football as it happens when we are (still) unable to.

I knew what you were referring to chap, just lately it appears that Robbie wants to argue the toss about everything that isn't explained in minute detail for some reason.
