Read the article and all it says that a Sky Source believes he has no plans to apologise. Then the rest of the article is just recycled stuff from last week and the only quotes in the article are from BR taken from a few days ago about him needing to get his head down etc. No quotes from Suarez or anyone in "Suarez's camp" suggesting he won't apologise...
The comments about the public apology are the only thing the club has done it this Suarez saga that I don't agree with. It won't achieve anything other than humiliation for the player they don't want to sell. Makes no sense to me.
Although I should be laughing about how Suarez is treating LFC I think it will be a mistake if he leaves as I feel Liverpool are on the verge of something good happening again for your club. This time next year Suarez could be preparing for CL and targeting the Premier League I think though even without Suarez you will be there or thereabouts for the Top 4. Good Luck anyway for this season.
What do you think about Gerrard's declaration that the club's season rests on Suarez ? How can that be helpful for morale when he has announced he wants to go?
guys the simple fact here is timeline... go look. well before suarez said his part you had rodgers out selling his line clearly. suarez had every chance to man up and say it to the managers face to stop it and let him go. Gerrard at his testimonial... a game where suarez was cheered hugely by the faithful... said his peice on the back of that. In short the simple explanation is having it all thrown in their face there is an anger about it. Its that simple having said what had to be said and knwoing that rodgers never stops banging on about "the group" and such that to have suarez throw it back in his face that rodgers has taken the step to put him in his place. This is like Rooney.... ferguson didn't need to say a word last may but he chose to stick the boot in, he was putting rooney in his place one more time. Its a power struggle. rodgers needs to win... he knows suarez is gone anyway so F him. no other player will try it on with him unless they think they are world class too.
That's exactly what it is..Rodgers asserting his authority and John Henry showing that we won't be taken for mugs again. Could backfire if he doesn't go or could a good thing either by Suarez apologising and coming back to the ' group' or by him leaving to go abroad and us getting a big wedge of money. Either way nobody is gonna **** with BR and FSG again
I think that is just an attempt to persuade Suarez to stay. All the players know how good a player Luis is and will understand what Gerrard meant, his comments won't have any effects on the other players. Plus, if Luis does leave then I'm sure someone else will arrive.
Alright it is a bit strange - why would Suarez apologize when he doesn't even want to play for the club anymore? If he did, he wouldn't have burned his bridges in that manner. However, it can't hurt. It's not like Suarez was about to throw himself to our mercy, so I doubt this will change his mind too much. I don't care either way. No matter what FSG do, if they don't sell to an English team, they've won in my eyes. He can sit on the bench and I won't consider it money lost. He can leave and I won't consider it defeat.
Even if Suarez did apologise, it would be a "I'm sorry that I spoke and and that I want to leave but i feel this is the route I need to take. It's nothing against the club... It's nothing against the staff/manager... It's nothing against the fans... etc etc blah blah blah"
It doesn't matter too much about what he says or how he says it, the main message is that he accepts he is BR/JWH/LFC's bitch and will make a statement when told to do so
Don't try forwarding any of that argument with Tobes because he can't see further than the end of his nose.
It's not what is in the apology. It's not even if the apology is actually made. It is about John Henry clearly showing to Saurez that he has the biggest cojones. Rodgers is carefully treading a line so that Saurez and his agent cannot claim that he is being abused in the performance of his contract. However, I doubt that John Henry actually wants Suarez to be associated with his club. For him it is all about protecting LFC's investment and the future wellbeing.
its called the world cup. if he is picked unfit he'll not perform. in the end whatever.... all he's got to do is play nice... i doubt he'll have to stand in front fo the whole team down his pants and bend over here. anyway..... one final point. Quite simple really. players will always try it on but you can bet your ass nobody at city will pull the stunts tevez tried by refusing to come on and at lfc no player will try it on in that regard with FSG... they were quite clear, you want to go? get it done early. 2 weeks to go = cowardly and too late. If your reasons are footballing and you already have a few mil in the bank then submit the dmaned request to leave and stop playing round.... cos if you really had anything lined up then real would have simply bid the money and be done with it... its not like they'd pay 15mil less this summer no matter what..... frankly bar going awol now suarez can't do any worse... he might even try that after international week who knows... but who cares?
Wind your neck in soft bollocks I've not even passed comment yet FFS Seeing as you're obviously interested I'll share my view. Henry came over swinging his dick & painted himself into a corner, Rodgers joined him in it when he said the player had to apologise before he could re-join the 'group'. Suarez saying "get ****ed" leaves them in limbo, who'll blink first? I doubt it'll be gnasher. It's comedy gold
Firstly Uruguay are far from certain to qualify, but irrespective Suarez is their star man & would be picked regardless Secondly he made his views about his future known in May, so you can't say he's left it up until 2 weeks before the deadline (there's 3 weeks left btw)
