I suppose a bit of luck with the weather in this test can be counter balanced by the hot weather in the first two so we have our answer to any whiney Aussie who has a moan.

Forecast not looking good for a result. Heavy rain due from 12 Noon till about 4-5pm. Rain most of the day tomorrow. Not how you'd really want to retain them. Looks a bit suspect for Durham next week too :emoticon-0106-cryin What were them rules on getting your money back? <laugh>

10 overs or less- full refund
10 -25 overs- half your money back.

Oh well, lets hope the forecasting is like today. Only just started now.

This is a winnable test still for me, but we wouldn't have the balls for it. The pitch is turning, there is the odd lifter but the wickets are poor shots/decisions.

I quite agree, however think it would be very difficult if there was no more play today, don't think there will be. Should be out there for me.

Definitely. Its helping us retain but its crap. This is not dangerous.

Ridiculous review by Cook.
Root should be telling him it was in line and your out skipper.
Stupidity.

Yes, congratulations to England.

No complaints when it's good rain....

Personally I think we are well short of our best. Probably says more about where the Aussies are at, than how good we are, that we have retained in three tests without playing particularly well.

Do we play Onions is the big question.

I'd like to see Onions get a game, it'll be a great confidence boost for him.

Having watched him regularly at Durham, the simple answer is yes, only fast bowler better than him is Anderson. Think England should go with 5 bowlers and drop Bairstow.

If we can nip a couple out quickly then its game on. I'm concerned about Jimmy, bowling poorly. He was the same at OT. Onions certainly should have played instead Bresnan regardless what happens this afternoon. As anyone who watches Durham knows, its a kiss the pitch bowler you need as opposed to a heavy ball type bowler like Bresnan. You just need someone who bowls wicket to wicket, quite full and nibbles it about. We've missed a trick.

Absolutely clueless again, well aside from the 1st spell Broad bowled, Aussie's will win in 4 days. £70 for tomorrow to watching get hammered and put up with smug Aussie's and a Watson hundred as well probably <grr>

Mockers applied, well done. If you can just do the same for Haddin and Rogers, that'll do nicely. I thought we showed a complete lack of patience with the ball. Jimmy looks out of sorts and if it was anyone else you'd be talking about whether he needs a rest. Swann was disappointing too.

To be fair I called Rogers was a lucky bastard on twitter, after that he barely made a mistake, Haddin always seems to chip in. England must start well tomorrow or it will be 2-1 soon.
