You're on the dot mate. We really should be getting these type of players in but all we're hearing about is a failed bid for Suarez in August. WE still have time but I have a feeling that we won't be getting many reinforcements.....

I have no problem with exploring the top players, if it comes out down the line that we could have signed a Suarez or a Higuain, and didn't, then our fans would rip Wenger to shreds, so it is important that we fully exhaust the possibilities before we sign one of the more reasonable targets.

There are four weeks left and perhaps there is more than one player with a CL clause in their contract, or that are waiting to see if we qualify. It does seem to be a big deal these days.

    Not worried yet.

Heard more than one Arsenal fan come to the reasonable conclusion that Suarez wouldn't be great for any number of reasons - volatility and Wenger rarely, if ever, go hand in had; he actually WANTS to go to Real, so if you did get him this whole saga would come up again in a year; you'll have to pay well over the odds, because Liverpool don't want him in the league; he's full of bull and would do little to endear himself with all his "I have to get away from the English media" nonsense. Don't get me wrong, he's a brilliant footballer. But I don't see this one working out at all.

Makes you wonder if Arsenal have any scouts anymore!

    Your such a Wum lol

Firstly Wenger has signed absolutely LOADS of players who where seen as volotile and having bad attitudes and turned them all into quality players who didn't get into trouble. So no idea what your on about with how he doesnt work with volotile players? Just a random comment?

Did you read his interview in the Guardian? Go and read and it pretty much addresses all of your points, i.e. madrid and the english media.

Is it accurate? I got all 9 'soccer' teams, but was surprised at the order.

I cannot vouch for it's accuracy and there's no formula for the valuations, but it seems legit and does get you thinking. Does this mean we should be spending more or continuing in past ways to build up value further. It will only add to the debate I fear, but it is interesting. (Of course what I particularly like is the absence of Spuds and Citeh)

We shuld always be trying to build up value, but I think we have now reached a point where we can shift the balance, between growing and spending, a bit.

I've kept out of this - haven't even bothered following any news last 5-6 weeks. I was half expecting a big signing to be unveiled at Emirates Cup, but nothing.

I saw the same old failings in our team last weekend as for the last 2-3 years - midfielders too slow to see the killer pass, forwards making runs that are easy to track and dont gove the man on the ball options, what few crosses we do manage to swing in finds no forward taking a gamble. Defence wasn't great either. The team has not improved enough (hardly surprising since we are in close-season, but you do hope) to suggest they will be stronger than last year.

We were lucky to get 4th last year.

Suarez as a footballer would be a huge lift and make a big statement, and he would scrore the goals, but with him it would sooner or later end in tears.

It is not a sound defence of the current lack of buys to say "well, no one else has bought either", but we have been miles behind the title contenders last 3 seasons.

I am worried/disappointed because with all 3 title contenders in a state of flux, this was a HUGE chance to hit back. But, Arsenal have blown it.

Unless someone pulls a Rooney, Fabregas, Fellaini, plus GK rabbit out of the hat we can settle down to a race for 4th between us SPurs and LFC .... again.

I'm not worried in the slightest about whether we will make signings. I think any of these panicking women who think we are not going to sign anyone need to smoke a spliff, lay down and come back out in two weeks.

I'd bet my house on us bringing in new players before the transfer window closes. No idea if they will be the calibre we are hoping for (really do want a big name signing to show some ****ing intent) but i am 100% certain we will be making signings.

What kind of ****** can't see that we have removed tons of players and wages from the budget and are very obviously working hard to brign in new faces. Things can't always go the way you want them to and it can be highly frustrating waiting for things to happen in the transfer window but if you all manage not to get your knickers in a twist i think you might be pleasently suprised come the end of the window!

Because our gripes have been that we think they won't sign anyone by the last day, is that it?

    You are pathetic.

Your constant childish whining each day about how the club haven't done enough to impress the mighty gent is what is pathetic. Every day more of the same crap. Wait until the transfer window has closed and then evaluate our squad. Until then just stfu and stop making every thread into a depressing emo hangout.

Wtf? where has this whining happening?

Any assessment of the situation that isn't rosy is whining? I repeat, your grandstanding throughout this has been pathetic. No one else has tried to make anything personal out of this. Just differing assessments of the situation.

Every single time you've come in attempting to ridicule and just making a fool out of yourself in the process. And now you try to inject it in other threads.

    (accidental like)

    rofl at the like.

Every thread i seem to look at has you and a couple of others bitching about how the club arent performing up to your high standards. It makes it really ****ing boring.

Let's wait until the end of the transfer window and then see whos comments are ridiculus shall we.

Doesn't have to be a rosy lovely view of the club - but the constant bitching and whining is just depressing.

I like how you make your own insurance policy of saying Arsenal will sign players, but maybe not the calibre players we want. So by the end of the transfer, if our signings are Sanago, Perez, and that Moroccan, you'll be like hey we did sign players.

It's not only about signing players, but signing QUALITY players who will improve the squad, so don't get it twisted.
