'Observe' would have been better I suppose, but yeah, her problem is that she's both incredibly ignorant, and can't express herself coherently, i.e. not ideal for TV interviews! <laugh>

Even then it wouldn't be perfect. In the context of the sentence she says "haram" like it's a noun, but it's an adjective. An appropriate noun would be "Islamic law", "Sharia", "Fiqh" or "the Quran". That's what makes me feel like she literally meant a different thing.

Ah but I'd argue it can be either a noun or an adjective, just as sin is both a noun and a verb. As in something can be described as haraam, or you can follow the rules of haraam.

From your description I can tell you it's probably venomous and hungry for flesh, too. Good luck.

In the shower this morning I looked up and saw a nest of like 20 spiders on the ceiling. They seemed concerned by the enormous waterfall that had suddenly started cascading through their home.

Is it where they are in England? We wouldn't have many rivals, because we are nearly alone on the South Coast.

Hull going to be renamed as "Hull City Tigers".

The ****ification of football proceeds unabated.

Heh, I've been reading about this on the Hull forum for a while, and their management was selling "it's just going to be the business side, there are no plans to change the name of the team" for a couple months. Yeah, lying about it for a few weeks really made things better.

I've got an idea, everyone: we can broaden our international appeal by renaming the team Shanghai Saints!

That's a good point, as the Hull RL teams don't seem to have those sort of gimmick names.

A new badge appeared on their training ground gates a few weeks ago, prompting the debate whether it was a mistake or the shape of things to come. Chairman denied it, until of course its the eve of the season and tickets are sold etc.

Just read a statement from a Hull supporters group, looks like they are another set of "whatever the club does is ok by me" don't want to rock the boat, don't want to stop getting freebies etc group.

Basically, in british football now, clubs can do anything and 99% of fans will go along with it. I hope the Coventry fans buck that trend, good luck to them.

It reflects society as a whole really. There are no rebels, no campaigns, no angry music, its all just blandness, just as the Govt likes it. Easier to control the people when they are all sheep.

    1984 is coming.

I saw the big crest in one of their training ground areas, I think when they announced they had signed Yannick Sagbo.

There was a big Hull crest but the black ribbon at the bottom just had "TIGERS" on it.

You are so right Choccy. Cowell, Cameron and Clegg. Doubleplus bad.

There's a football revolution on Portsea Island though, we have loosened our chains, thrown off the yolk of successive dictators, come on down and enjoy the madness:)

Hmmm possibly.... or you are playing patsy to some property developers wanting to make a big profit on their "investment". Give it a year mate.

I have as well, it's been interesting. The way they tried to creep it in without anyone noticing wasn't great, or the lying...

Wait, perhaps this is all a distraction from the fact that they haven't actually spent any money on players. Great idea.
