Potentially, I could have 14 exams all in the Summer, all within about a month, if I need to retake all previous ones. A minimum of 7 if I don't retake any, which won't happen. Thanks, Michael Gove.x

If anyone's interested: Michael Gove bans retakes but I've heard that he failed his driving test 6 times before passing! <laugh>

Then you should have worked harder.

It's not about not working hard the first time round, it's about constantly striving to better your grade. Unless you get all A*s in everything, there's always room for improvement. Likewise, getting a lower mark might not be necessarily due to not working hard but could be a question you weren't prepared for came up or something. And second time you'll be more experienced and naturally better prepared as you have a better idea of what's going to come up. Generally you go up in grades if you repeat a paper. Except for the time in History when I went down two grades. How on earth that happened, I have no idea. Especially as the question I wanted came up.

I'm off on hols tomorrow, so here's hoping that by the time I have returned, we have beaten WBA, Rickie scored and played a blinder against Scotland, we have signed a fantastic striker/AMC/CB and Pompey Lapras has finally got laid ;)

A Bientot

I have no words for this.

I've just discovered Archer DVD Extras.

I love how every sentence she utters is followed by the voice-over emphasising just how incredibly moronic and wrong she is (If that was even needed).

Some of it made me think the audience isn't so smart either. If you need someone to tell you that Jews don't follow Jesus, maybe it's time to turn the TV off, pal.

The "haram" bit was probably my favourite. What did she think she was saying there?

haram is an actual thing, it is used to describe a forbidden act (why do I know that?)

Non-hilal foods are haram, but that's not at all what she's trying to say there.

Haraam is sinful in Arabic, anything forbidden in Islam is Haraam, pork, alcohol etc., so they were actually incorrect in correcting her that she meant Qur'an. Now that I think about it she also only said that she thought 'the disability scheme was fine at the moment', she may have meant the current one rather the one to be introduced in future. Perhaps a little bit of unfair editing on second viewing, certainly not really a 'balanced piece', but to be fair she doesn't really deserve one as she is a massive idiot all the same.

I know "haram" means "forbidden", but it didn't seem like that's what she was trying to say. Like when she said "only two percent of Australians follow haram" and "Jews don't follow haram". If she actually did mean haram then I guess it's just poorly phrased. I thought maybe she wanted to say "halal".
