Here is what I wrote on Finnbogason on the Saints board yesterday:
Link: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/222163-Summer-2013-Transfer-Rumour-Thread-Mk4?p=5139070&viewfull=1#post5139070

Finnbogason is your target man type of player. Technically he is solid, his first touch is good, he has the creativity to make ugly goals from out of nowhere. His speed is okay, nothing special. His positioning and agility are his selling points. He can wriggle himself around defenders and score goals that seem impossible. He is inconsistent and has great mentality, he's a fighter and always keeps going even when the rest of the team has already given up. There is one problem though, his finishing. I already had my doubts with him last season, he can score goals but the amount of chances he needs are astonishing. I think it's 1 in 4 major chances he scores. Last week when I was watching SC Heerenveen -AZ Alkmaar he got countless chances, I think like 13 or 14. He scored two, but he blew a couple of 100% goal scoring opportunities. Instead of 4-2 for Heerenveen, they should've won at least 6-2.

That amount of chances he can get because defensively the Eredivisie is way below European par. And I doubt he will get the chances at Southampton in the EPL. He really wants to leave the club and I can see his agent forcing a move arranged by the club, but I don't think he'll chose for the Saints as he is more of the Bundesliga type of player. And there are many clubs in Germany that are eyeing him.

And there you have it. For more updates on the Eredivisie, check out my blog or follow me on Twitter so you get a notification when I've posted updates, blogs or articles.

Huddlestone --- Meyler
------Amalfitano------

One down and 2 to go. Would be about right for us in the PL without a doubt. :emoticon-0103-cool:

I've said a few times Huddlestone would be the ideal player for us.

Very true and his wages wont be as bad as some think they maybe at a guess.

Just noticed this from Phil Buckingham...
@hullcitymike It would take a huge change in transfer policy. Big fee, big wages. Beyond City I feel.

Take Huddlestone on a season long Loan deal with a view/option to buy next summer subject to us still being in the PL. We have moved on Corry Evans and TC for a reason. SB has already said that it puts more money in the kitty.

I'm disappointed that we haven't managed to get any of the quality championship players yet at sensible prices (Bridcutt etc)

From what has been said on the south coast Bridcutt will stay at Brighton for one more season Unless Brighton make the PL come May 2014.

We need a winger .

Why do we ? We have enough players for the wide roles.

:afro: we need some one with afro
Edit liam rosenior doesnt have a fro anymore just before anyone says anything

Maybe Liam will re-grow his locks during the winter. Nodody has had a hair do like Valderama but that Benoit Assou-Ekotto ex.Spurs is close enough. :emoticon-0103-cool:

He's on £40k a week, Sunderland are trying to get him to accept £35k and we won't go over £30k.

Utter tosh and drivel this. He's on 60k a week and wants to come to us on 20k and if he doesnt he's no loss and his career's on the slide anyway. Mackems welcome to him, all is not right up there so I'm hearing anyway lol

Guess it will come down to which club he fancies then. With us he would play every game (if fit). £30k and back in the public eye sounds good to me. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Someone had to go to the snooker club while you were away tickles. I'm in the know now, just the way it is <badger>

Looks to play anywhere across the middle, great in a 4-3-3 as he can play in the middle 3 or in the front 3 if Aluko or Brady get injured.

These YouTube vids are nonsense. You could even make Aaron McClean look good in one of these.

For some reason he doesn't like me, and hasn't done since he started posting.

He seems to have a go at every thing I post. No idea why.

Seems to me there are a lot of people who jump on anything people say in the last few months. Hopefully, it will settle down again when the season starts.

However, as has been pointed out, he's been mainly posting ******ed drivel since his very first attempt so I'd pay him little attention. You wouldn't be missing much by putting him on ignore. Who knows, he may stop being a cock at some point and actually contribute to the board in a positive manner.
