I still think Real will come in and bid for Suarez.

Can't believe there's still under 1 month left to go!!!

What makes you think they will come in for him? So far they have had no interest at all and tehre is no sign that's going to change. They have spent massive cash already and Bale is very clearly there main target. They can't afford to add both players. And so far tehre is no suggestion that they want Suarez at all.

Tevez left the country and ****ed off home for half a season until Mancini went crawling back to him. Terrible man-management and made the club look stupid. It also cost them a couple of hundred grand a week. Most clubs can't afford to waste that sort of money.

Because there are rumours that Real are looking to sell Benzema to Roma.

In addition, the potential €120m deal for Bale will be paid in installments with €20m up front which would leave a lot of cash free this summer.

I think we'd already came to that conclusion well before today possibly, it's where he goes that's the main issue for all concerned, and how much

Not really. A lot were saying there had been no quotes etc. These comments make it clear as day that he wants out which makes his position unattainable (?)

I thought we were also accused by the gooners of keeping Torres when he wanted out<whistle>

I've never made any comments about Torres and i'm the one discussing with the pool fans atm :)

And afaik you guys didn't stick Torres on the bench or in the reserves?

Mourinho might also come for Suarez if he doesn't get Rooney. Chelsea can have him for less than Arsenal because they are further away in terms of direct competitiveness.

They are only offering that much up front because they don't have any cash to spend right now. On top of there already massive spending they cannot afford to lay out another ton of money on another player, which is why they are tryng to deal a deal over time for Bale.

I can't see Madrid getting rid of two proven top quality strikers in the same window to spend loads of cash on a replacement who is unproven in the league.

Doesn't matter, he was still kept after wanting out, answering your question.

they also have a lfc loyalty card, gives them a little discount <whistle>

I can not see a club with the legal people at their disposal that Liverpool have giving a contract to someone with a release clause written to say that the players will be told of interest if the club are offered more than £40M either the contract would say as in Spain that there is an automatic release clause if bids over a certain figure or in this case the club agrees to tell the player about those bids but they reserve the right not to sell now if Suarez does not understand the difference he should have got a lawyer to read the contract before he signed it but all he was interested in was the wage rise which is what is behind this latest bit of skulldugery between Suarez, his agent and Arsenal because who told Arsenal what the exact figure was so they could make a bid of £1 over it someone had to have told them if Arsenal asked Suarez what it was that amounts to tapping up if Suarez or his agent did without telling Liverpool that is against the premiership rules from memory. Arsene Wengers holier than thou performance saying he couldn't comment on a matter between Liverpool and the players seems hypocritical when you think about how they know so much about Suarez's contract.

Up your bid then? We have already said what we want. If he goes in January it will be to a club offering the value we've asked for. And you giving RVP to United was ******ed, hardly "the way to go".

I think we probably will see an improved bid, especially if this clause isn't as tight as Suarez seems to think. I dont work for Arsenal so i cant personally increase it for you, sorry <ok>

As for RVP he had a year left on his contract and made it clear he only wanted to go to Utd. He was happy to stay and see out his contract and then move on but the club decided htey would rather have the cash.

Madrid have never shown any interest in Suarez at all and have still shown no interest at all. He was asked once in an interview if he would liek to play at Madsrid and said yes and thats where all that nonsense comes from. Arsenal are the only club in for him.

I also dont think Liverpool will be trying to get Arsenal into trouble over this - too many reputations to be damaged.

Damage to who's reputation?. I don't think that Liverpool would be at all concerned if reputations were damaged at Arsenal.

I think two fo the biggest clubs in the country battling it out pettily in the courts wouldn't look good for either club. Maybe you hve a different idea of what reputation is. But last i checked in general compnies don't like to be dragged through the media constantly, especially in a situation when all 3 parties would be under scrutiny.

Since Suarez is so convinced he is right about it, is it not very possible that Liverpool staff purposely made the clause mis-leading to make sure he signed a new contract?

I'm not talking about players staying when they want out - there are a million examples of that. Please try to read before replying :P

Suarez won't go into the reserves if he doesn't get his move, that is a stupid thing to even consider with the international football and a move the following summer

He will play, maybe sulk for a wee while but he'll get over it

Rooney is the cheaper option and its obvious Chelsea are attempoting to curb there spending. If they stopped going for Rooney and went in for Suarezit opens the door for Arsenal to move for Rooney. Either way the clubs aroudn you get strengthened while you lose your best player. Don't think Chelseacomming in for him is the answer for you lot <ok>
