Since Suarez is so convinced he is right about it, is it not very possible that Liverpool staff purposely made the clause mis-leading to make sure he signed a new contract?

I think SUarez just saw the £££ (the contract nearly tripled his salary)

And Suarez is convinced he is right about quite a lot, doesn't mean he ever is

Suarez won't go into the reserves if he doesn't get his move, that is a stupid thing to even consider with the international football and a move the following summer

He will play, maybe sulk for a wee while but he'll get over it

Thats the point that other Liverpool fans where making and i was saying he wouldn't be put into the reserves.

Please, please, please read the thread before replying to me - it's highly irritating talking to you as you never seem to know whats going on :P

And if he doesn't get his move this summer he won't wait for next summer he will eb angling for a move all the way until January. He casn happily not play for half a season, get a move and impress in the second half of the season.

They are only offering that much up front because they don't have any cash to spend right now. On top of there already massive spending they cannot afford to lay out another ton of money on another player, which is why they are tryng to deal a deal over time for Bale.

I can't see Madrid getting rid of two proven top quality strikers in the same window to spend loads of cash on a replacement who is unproven in the league.

So you are familiar with Real madrid's cash flow then. Please inform us how much cash can they lay their hands on?

For all the glee this article must have brought at the Emirates and across at the other board, it in no way means Suarez is going to Arsenal, all it means is he wants out and that he thinks his contract allows him to go, and the club don't think it allows him to go.

Not that much has changed at all, I'm at least happy to know for sure what the **** is happening

Maybe <ok>

I just recon before the actual facts come t light everyone should stop being so sure they know exactly what is going on and the exact situation with contracts etc... It's clear none of us know whats going on!

Rooney is the cheaper option and its obvious Chelsea are attempoting to curb there spending. If they stopped going for Rooney and went in for Suarezit opens the door for Arsenal to move for Rooney. Either way the clubs aroudn you get strengthened while you lose your best player. Don't think Chelseacomming in for him is the answer for you lot <ok>

Yes because Arsenal are definitely willing to pay £250k/w for Rooney's wages <laugh>

They've spent how much already? Like 75m, plus they intend to spend another 100 odd on Bale. Can you really see a team inSpain with its current financial situation spending close to a quarter of a Billion pounds in one transfer window?

I'm not saying it 100%won't happen but so far there has been 0 interest from Madrid and they have a massive out-lay on transfers. I think it's very unlikely that he will be going to Madrid.

No because that would be illegal. Are you really trying to say that Liverpool Football Club would act illegally and immorally in their contract negotiations?

Weherever he goes he will likely take a small pay cut. Also most reports say he is on clsoer to 200k a week not 250k. We have the funds available to go past 150k a week without much concern, particularly considering the space on the wage budget currently :)

Plus they recovered around €35m for Higuain as well. Added to a potential sale of Benzema for 20m?

Since you lot are VERY quick to accuse other clubs of acting illegally i don't see why you'd find it such an odd idea that Liverpool might be underhanded as well.

But i have no idea what has happened - i'm just trying to suggest you lot are abit too surei n the opposite ditrection considering you don't have any secret info that no-one else has.

You really think they will sell 2 established, high performing strikers in one transfer window so that they can bring in SUarez? Despite both those strikers having good records and reputations with the fans? I don't think that's likely.

Even with the money they have made from Higuain i can't see them spendiing over 200m in one transfer window. It would be an absolute travesty considerign the state of the spanish economy.

I think people on the Arsenal board are happy with this news as now it is clear that Suarez wants to come to Arsenal. Prior to this interview there was no evidence he actually wanted the move. Now we know he does. perfectly normal reason to be happy as a fan :)

Where is this quarter of a billion pounds been spent in this transfer window? Balancing up the ins and outs appears to show a slight loss so far. As for Bale, we will all have to wait and see. But if that deal does not come off then you know exactly where Real will be looking

Why do wek now that is exactly where they will be looking? They have shown no interest in Suarez at all at any point....

You threw a fit when I suggested that Wenger may have been informed about the clause, saying absolutely that he did not, now you say this. At least you finally admitted what I was saying, that you had no clue<ok>

Talk Sport pointed something out earlier that I thought was a really good point; I just wish I could remember what it was <laugh>
