The CL status of a club who made an offer is not a contractual element - that is the point that I am making.
Well the interviewing journalist in the guardian states categorically that arsenal believed the very clause Suarez now talks about publicly (in breach of the confidential nature of his contract outside of mediation or court???) existed. As an arsenal fan can you confirm your club employ psychics? Or do we just not believe the bit of this report that implicates your club just the bits about ours?
I have no idea what it says in his contract and don't claim to (and i'd assume you have no idea whatsoever either). I was just saying that his personal preference is that he would only leave for a CL club and so until one came in with an offer there was no need for him to kick up a fuss - therefor there would be no reason at all to take any action at all agaisnt Liverpool until after this bid came in. He has now had some time to think over how he will act. It'll be interesting to see what he does next
Don't need top players, we need the players who become top players a la Hyypia, Mascherano and Alonso. Isn't that what we pay our scouts for? I can find top players using Fifa ffs, that's easy. Finding hidden gems is where the scouts should be making their money. Aspas and Alberto may prove to be two such players, who knows. Just need a few more.
We need halfway houses. Like Torres was . But even those players will take some persuading. No CL, no EL and no Suarez.
As far as im aware there is nothing to stop him or his agent leaking information to the media and that information getting back to Arsenal. This could be done so easily in a way that isn't illegal that there would be no reason to break any rules.
Are we supposed to beg Real, barca or Bayern to take him off our hands for £25m now? I'm suspicious..... As said, let him put in a transfer request, take us to court (and then we can sue Arsenal) and insist that other parties pay all agents' costs. No point either side trying to be 'nice' or act in good faith, it's all gone now. Let him stew till the January window - see if he does a Tevez. A principle is at stake now.
You are aware of confidentiality clauses in business law? Your argument is preposterous - I'd love to see someone charged with insider trading come up with that.
Totally and utterly wrong. The contract that Suarez signed with Liverpool is strictly commercial in confidence.
I'm not an expert when it comes to footballers contracts so i wouldn't know Would such a confidentialy agreement stop him telling his friends and family anything about his contract? If he gets drunk and tells a girl what he earns a week is he in breach? I'd like to know the specific wording of any such agreements and what is specifically not allowed.

Btw, I'm not surprised he reckons he has the support of the PFA and the FA too, doubtless. Their distaste of Luis is far outweighed by their hatred of Liverpool FC. Let's take this one to the CAS and **** the FA right off.
Short answer yes, Just as various contracts and acts make it wrong for me to discuss details of my work with family friends drunk or not. Do I do it? To a point. Would I be allowed to get away with it for personal benefit and at the expense of my employers? Not a chance. Are you saying your employer hasn't stated this clearly to you and the consequences if you do it? Very strange; not many theses days forget that. Particularly with Millions involved.
There is a legal assumption when you sign a contract that you're not some sort of imbecile who didn't understand what you were signing, unless you can prove otherwise. Whilst Luis has pushed the envelope on cultural differences and understandings before, presumably entering into a contract with a confidentiality clause is the same in Uruguay as it is here.
Fair enough if that is the case But would that not mean Suarez or his agent or someone from his agents office was the one who has breached any rules and therefor Arsenal wouldn't have done nothing illegal at all? Since Arsenal are not under contract from Liverpool to not act on information they are presented with.
