Still some quality larkers at Wigan yet to be picked up. McArthur, Mccarthy, McManaman, Watson, Maloney, Beausejour...be surprised if some of them don't move by the transfer deadline.

Just heard an interview on SSN with Harry Redknapp, where the reporter was quoted as saying "Real Madrid have now offered £100million for Gareth Bale."
If so, the world's going crazy. They could build a Premiership winning team with that money!

I suppose "home" is stretching it really. Over 2000 miles from his home.

No one likes TX anyway.

Still its a strange move. Seattle isnt a very good team in the mls. There are other options that would have given him a better chance to win the title if he really wanted to come back to the US.

Well the just said during the game I was watching that he is going to get a guaranteed 32 million over 4 years. So that is over 100,000 pounds a week and if the net is to be believed a decent raise over what he was getting at tottenham.

I'm sure I saw over the weekend that with £100m you could fund a mission to Mars (or the moon or something).

Stupid amount of money

They're planning holidays on the moon, the total trip will take two days and it will cost $1.5b per couple.

Bargain.

I mean, for what you get, it's not really worth it. You could spend less going through the protocol to be an actual astronaut, through military service etc.

Is that zero G thing in the aeroplane expensive? I've always wanted to try that.

You can do it for $5k, but you've got the cost of getting to America first.

Hmmm, might have to give it a try then. I've done the thing in the vertical wind tunnel where you hover over a fan, it was pretty cool.

I'd love to go skydiving, but somebody told me there's a height restriction? I'm 6"4, does that make me too tall?

6'6" is the limit, if you're 6'4" you just need to be no heavier than 16st 1lb.

It seems I'd have to lose nearly half a stone to have a go.
