I tried to temper my excitement when we signed him to wait to see how he actually played, but watching these friendlies I have huge hopes for him this season, very impressive.

No offence, but Cork's positioning really isn't that great at right back either.

You don't sign these lads to long-term deals unless you are confident in their ability. Give them time. Luke made positioning errors initially.

Danny Fox has gone his whole career with amateur standard positioning. At least Chambers has the pace to make up for it.

Chambres is doing ok. Has won some headers which is an obvious plus on Clyne and a good delivery for Lambert a la Richardson.
Celta are doing well to double up in attack down the left and leaving Calum isolated. I think the factor of having Jay, Adam and Gaston at the same time means we seem to naturally drift to the left. I wonder if punch would give us a greater balance.
