    Whilst I was waiting for my first bus this morning, there was a snail at the bus stop. There's not much happening at 6.30am in the morning, so I was watching it as I sat there. They move a lot more quickly than I thought.

    What are your experiences of snail velocity?

    Accidentally trod on pne with no shoes or socks on, had slug juice in between my toes. Like a sticky green substance, and it had a squelching sound.

    snail racing is quite common out foreign.
    it depends on what they are at. sniffing about your vegetable patch they can move quite fast.... for a worm like thing of course

    I had a mate who had a racing snail. It's form dipped so he removed the shell to make it more aerodynamic. Didn't work though. He said it made it even more sluggish.

    It is Friday. Seriously though, that thing moved quicker than I expected.
