How many people said that when Ronaldo left Man Utd, cash in, he's had his best years. The way Madrid conduct their transfers is unreal, it must be bordering illegal.

That would be a great signing for them if it comes off, I really rate Caulker.

Ronaldo performed year on year with MU once he broke into the team. Bale had a season to remember in 2012/13 without a doubt but can he do it again though ? I agree that Real Madrid should be brought to account for the way they have been public in the persuit of Bale but Spurs silence has not helped either. If Bales does want to go then let him go. But ring out every possible Euro from Madrids coffers first. Payment in full and upfront OR no deal should be Levys stance imo.

As for Caulker i would have thought a season long loan. Looks like Spurs may not think he is upto there standards if they are happy to sell.

Fulham are now leading the race to sign Darren Bent.

Bakary Sako looks like he will have to start the new season as a Wolves player as his 2 moves away have broken down without any real progress.

That's two big money signings for Cardiff (if Caulker signs) - factor in the Capoue offer on the table and you have £24m exc wages for three players. Expensive business this Premier League lark.

Think they have overpaid on Caulker - in my eyes I would have thought Levy's eyes would have bulged at that offer received

Thankfully as QPR demonstrated in spectacular fashion last season, spending big on players or managers does not guarantee success.

Capoue wants a bigger club than Cardiff City by all accounts so i would guess that deal is no more than 50/50 at best at the moment. ?

Another Spurs kid gets loaned out for the season. Doncaster Rovers take Bongani Kuhmalo.

Steven Caulker is now having a medical @ Cardiff City so the reported £8m fee has been enough for Tottenham to let him go.

Sounds about right to me. How much would we ask for Chester if another PL club were interested, £5-6,? Caulker already has prem experience, England cap & goal to his name and is a good 6ft 3"...

To be fair, Chester would probably cost that much because he is vital to this team, whereas Caulker isn't vital to Spurs.

Still think about £6m-7m is about right for Caulker.

Ross Turnbull has just signed for Doncaster, as has Bongani Khumalo from Spurs. Coupled with the signings of Harry Forrester from Brentford, Dean Furman from Oldham and Marc de Val from Real Madrid, they're making some very good headway in the transfer market. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the top half this season if they keep this up.

At the moment i think Caulker is at the same level to Davies, they are very similar players in fact. However Caulkers going to improve massively over his 5 year contract whereas Davies has probably peeked. Not complaining though

It's seems they're about to sign Shay Given and Stephen Ireland too.

This new investor at Donny seems to be throwing a lot of coin at the club, but he's proper dodgy, he was involved in some Irish government fraud and was struck off as a company director for six or eight years.
