@moreinjuredthanowen Ok so Wenger has won a toal of 11 trophies in his 16-17 years at Arsenal, and Liverpool have won 13-14 in 25 years. So in an additional 8-9 years Liverpool have won 2-3 more trophies than Wenger at Arsenal. If we take just 20 years Wenger has won the same amount and if we compare Liverpool over the same time period Wenger has won more. Not sure whats so deluded about me saying off the top of my head without researching it that Wenger at Arsenal has won more than Liverpool over the last 20-25 years when he has won a very similar amount of things. He has won more FA Cups, League Titles and Community shields than Liverpool in 25 years, granted Liverpool have a couple of european trophies in that quarter century, but take away your league cups and Wenger has more trophies. So it wasn't that outrageous a statement tbf
Like how you pointed out the cyclicality of the debate and then prolong it. Looking at it objectively, on league position in the last few seasons Arsenal you would have to say are the 'bigger club'. Regular CL football, won a few jugs/plates. In terms of history, global brand recognition, support base and overall trophies won historically LFC is probably 'bigger', that's not trying to detract from AFC who have their own pedigree. I don't mind Arsenal at all, got a couple of mates who are AFC fans and are amongst the more reasonable and intelligent supporters I know. Citeh fans nowadays on the other hand.

If its not random then Wigans cup is just as important and can be used to justify Wigan being a superior club to City, Liverpool and Arsenal in the same way Liverpools League Cup can be used to try and be superior to Arsenal. Is that what your saying? Thats really poor logic.
@dangerously delicious - although it cant be denied that Historically Liverpool have won more than Arsenal (the 70's an 80's were great for u guys) - Global fanbase you are now behind Arsenal on that point as well.
Of course it's important - winning is the whole point of taking part. And yes, they had a superior season than City, Liverpool and Arsenal. For them to be a superior club they would have to do it on a regular basis though.

Ok - i just wanted to get to the bottom of your logic. So currently you would understand Suarez wanting to leave to go to Wigan? And it's interesting that you think getting relegated and winning an FA Cup is better than finishing 2nd in the league, competing in the CL and getting to a cup final, or finishing 4th and getting knocked out of the CL on aggregate to the eventual CL winners who walked all over Barca. I just think its really ****ty logic to use asingle trophy win as a way of justifying one club being superior to another. Lots of teams are able to go on adecent cup run, but ask any footballer which team they'd rather be playing for and none of them are choosing Wigan over City or Arsenal...
It's not a single trophy. We won so many trophies in Europe they let us keep it forever rather than bother to keep returning it. Your doing a great job of avoiding the very clear logic i have laid down for you. The fact is it is just one trophy. 1 League Cup in like 6 years is hardly regular trophies. We arent doing a comparison of both clubsdating back to the stone age buddy. We are discussing if Liverpool winning a league cup last season makes them superior to Arsenal which was your logic. I have laid down easy to follow arguments using another similar example and you refuse to engage in proper debate instead resorting to things of no relevance to the point in discussion.
