No, because for Wigan it is a one off event. At Liverpool even when we haven't had enough quality to challange for the league we have continued to pick up trophies, including a 5th european cup which is one of the greatest events in all of sport and massively inspirational and enjoyable. Wenger has been found out. His good tactics have been adopted by everyone else but he hasn't moved on himself. His philosophy of rebuilding the team with technical players has failed. Ever since he began this project of his, Arsenal have been a failure in every possible way, except the balance sheet.
Although wenger has been a great manager for arsenal,esp in the earlier years, I think his stubbornness to pay over the odds in transfers and wages and rely on relatively unknown players has had a detrimental effect . There is little doubt that his teams,in general,play the best football in the league (until now anyway ) but just think what he could have done if he had signed some top rated players,don't think you would have gone so long without winning something. I really don't care if Suarez goes to arsenal or not but I just cannot see wenger going that extra mile (or pound) to secure him.

Oh my God. What has the defensive record in the Prem to do with the Champions League? I just have issue with guys blindly throwing around the "they can't defend" line when Arsenal had the second best defensive record. Ignorance and arrogance is a dangerous combo.
