Well Tim Payton who is generally negative as **** has been preaching all Summer that we have got £100M+ to spend and we have to be patient. He has gathered that figure from discussions with Gazidis so I am inclined to believe him.
But Gazidis is a toad who should be pelted with rotten fruit, so believing what he has to say is just madness.
He is a lying toad but our balance sheet backs up his claims, we have well over £100M in cash reserves and that is not including the new sponsorship and TV deal money that we will be receiving within the next year.
That's sort of what i meant. I'm guessing that (sponsorship and tv revenue included) we may actually have around the £200 million mark to spend if we felt inclined to do so.
If you include bonuses, signing on fees, wages, agent fees then £100M can become £200M very quickly. The £100M 'warchest' we have is a figure for transfer fees only. The bottom line is there is plenty of money there, it is simply down to Wenger to spend it.
I don't think we'll get the sponsorship money in one go.The full amount of the new Emirates deal is dependant on CL participation for a start
We won't get the sponsorship money in 1 go but most transfers are paid in installments and wages are paid monthly so it's not like we will be spending money we don't have. Well Payton is the head of the AST so I am going to have to take his word over yours, I see no reason why he would try mislead the fans.
Don't forget we've recouped nearly £400,000 a week in wages would easily cover the wages of Suarez, a new CB, maybe a new GK, and I don't know, maybe Fabregas as well.
I think it's safe to say we're in a stronger position financially than the UK as a whole Wenger Out! Wenger for PM!
Payton is just the mouthpiece of a pressure group for small shareholders. It doesn't mean he is privy to any information concerning Arsenal's finances.
He's not 'privy' to any info on our finances, but he has said himself that Ivan informed him at the last AGM meeting what our Summer budget was. These guys are in dialogue with Ivan quite regularly. It could well be a case of Payton lying to the fans for no reason but I don't see why he would do that.
Labour started it. it's a common fact that Labour f*ck the economy up, then the tories have to make unpopular decisions to repair the economy, then they get voted out, and then Labour **** everything up again. If Millibandwagon gets in, the country as a whole will die. Arsene for Prime minister (or chancellor at least)
I don't think you can find a quote from either Gazidis or Peyton that we have a transfer budget of £100,000,000
He has tweeted it many times and will tweet it again before the window closes. When he does I will post it here.
You do realise that the Tories did not vote against any Of Labour's spending commitments whilst they were in opposition and that Labour only increased borrowing to bale out the banks.Where do you think the money came from to stop the likes of Lloyds.HBOS etc from going bankrupt
