Have attached the photo doing the rounds.

Personal point of view is that he is being a hypocrite, but to be fair to him, the photos are a bit dubious to say the least.

He's on what, £35k a week? He (and pretty much only he) scored the goals that kept us in the Premier League and earned the club an extra £50mill. He wants a cut or he wants out. I think he's been badly advised while the Wonga thing is more media hype than actual fact.
Maybe the club are playing hard ball and saying you signed a 5 year deal, live with it.
Or maybe they managed to get an elusive copy of "Spot learns the offside rule" from the local library and he's at home reading that.

I think people are very narrow-minded when it comes to other people's views... Of course there's an ominpresent/potent overlord who cares for some people more than others (though loving all equally) and decides to pick them up and make them play football, of which he's obviously a massive fan, amazingly because they pray a certain way and make gestures at him while they play...

    That's just basic logic.

Really Cisse is gambling I won't slap him. Get in the shirt and play better you t***

Are we sure that's Cisse? It could just be any skinny black guy posing as Cisse surely? Too blurry to tell...

Apparently the casino have confirmed that Cisse is a patron of theirs but refuse to divulge the quantity he gambles. From the Mirror:

Group operations director Austin Graham confirmed: “He is an occasional visitor, as are the other footballers from any of the other clubs. We cannot go into details about what he gambles for obvious reasons as that is confidential between him and us. He is welcome here any time.”

A Newcastle United spokeswoman declined to comment on the picture last night.

Cisse’s agent Madou Diene also declined to comment, saying it was a “personal matter”.

Even if it isn`t him in the photo it`s confirmed he does gamble.
I thought it was strictly forbidden in Islam.
If so then it points even further to an engineered move.
Bad crack all round that like.

If Islam forbids gambling then they have a lot of fallen souls. Go into any bookies and see how many are gambling on the machines. Cisse wants a pay rise and that's it.

I'm not sure I believe a word of this story. You don't often see managers of businesses dropping their customers in it to the national press!

His goals kept us in the Premiership. He's not the devil in our midst. But I wouldn't blame any of our players wanting to leave Ashley's club in all fairness. There is zero ambition.

I thought wonga was a loan shark / payday loan bollocks place? whats that got to do with gambling?

Also since when is it bad for muslims to gamble? the pakistani cricket team are always at it.. Also horse racing is popular in the middle east and the saudi's are mad for it.

Yes the Saudi's are horse racing mad but you can't bet on them there.

This, just get on the ****ing pitch. I'm not arsed what he does in his spare time and I have no knowledge of the real reasons behind his absence from the tour or how he chooses to practice his religion. I just don't care. He's an employee and should get to work

In related news, what is the hoo-hah about Cisse gambling?

Hasn't he always been gambling on being onside with his play ....

like I said it's not him at all.

not being funny but his face shape (look at the forehead), nose and skin tone don't look right (the real Cisse is much darker).

    why isn't there a better picture?? <whistle>

I do, however think Cisse is trying to engineer a move away with the Wonga crap, that's as plain as the food on Girlzilla's plate.

To me that looks like it's him... but judging by the chap next to him, the picture was taken in the 70s, so we should all calm down <ok>
