To me that looks like it's him... but judging by the chap next to him, the picture was taken in the 70s, so we should all calm down![]()

Is it a chap though? I'm not sure I believe a word of this story. You don't often see managers of businesses dropping their customers in it to the national press!
His goals kept us in the Premiership. He's not the devil in our midst. But I wouldn't blame any of our players wanting to leave Ashley's club in all fairness. There is zero ambition.

From the BBC Website:
Papiss Cisse and Newcastle have reached an agreement that will see the Senegal striker wear the club's Wonga logo on his shirt despite his religious beliefs.
"Cisse, a Muslim, had previously pulled out of Newcastle's pre-season tour after telling the club he was not prepared to promote the money lending company.
"However, after a week of talks, both sides are satisfied with the outcome and Cisse is now available to play for Newcastle once again.
"Cisse has been training on his own while his team-mates have been on tour in Portugal but now he is expected to immediately rejoin the first team squad. "
i did think yesterday, when those very true comments were made by a respected muslim about Cisse belittling his own faith by picking and choosing what rules of the faith he adheres to, that it would eventually reach Cisse and he would back down.
Think he's a hypocrite and an arse to be honest but if he starts banging em in next season im sure, with all the fickleness of any fan, I'll be singing his praises again
Hughie gallacher was 8 types of bastard but that didn't stop him being a legend
Why do people think that gambling in a casino and opposing a pay-day loan company makes you a hypocrite?

No disrespect, but I do believe many of our supporters live in very black and white worlds (no pun intended). The English have many virtues, but one of their failings is seeing someone who has moral scruples as a 'hypocrite' because they do not conduct themselves as saints in every single thing they do. People should be respected for the principles they uphold, not for those they cannot hold 100%.
As for those who cannot see the difference between Wonga and Virgin or Barclays Bank, I do despair for you.
Thanks for your concern. Thanks for your concern.
If you cannot see that companies like Barclays bank are as morally corrupt as Wonga will ever be, then naive is not the word. Do a little research into the recent financial crisis and the role banks like Barclays played, before taking to your perch though.
Regardless in the eyes of his faith, the rate of interest is a non issue. Any interest at all is the issue I believe. Virgin and the banks charge interest, this should therefore have prompted a similar objection.
Whichever way you dress this up, Cisse has simply made a bad call and should just get his head and get back to work.
As I say, I despair.
I deal with Barclays Bank on a daily basis and, as far as I'm concerned, their business is legalised robbery. However, comparing them to Wonga is a bit like comparing street muggers with the Mafia.
While I'm at it, why didn't we go the whole hog and get sponsored by the Mafia (motto: Beat Us if you Dare, logo: a horse's head). After all, they've cleaned up their act recently, and you moral relativists would have a field day with such outpourings as:
"Eee well Joe Bloggs and his pals have accepted being sponsored by Italian gangsters, why shouldn't Bill Bloggs?"
Keep em coming, this is hilarious. So while their execs are pulling 11m bonuses leeched off society and they prey on others assets in a financial crisis, the real evil is Wonga. Which is also completely legal. I know which of these legal companies have had the biggest negative effect on society as a whole. Yeah you comparison is bang on, but the street muggers are Wonga, the Mafia is Barclays. I don't mind any of them, if the law allows it then get on with it.As I say, I despair.
