So Aggers and Boycott were discussing, but Geoffrey did postulate that the Aussies are getting themselves out and it might be worth the gamble. I suppose it's all about the condition of the bowlers.

This really is a feeble effort from the Aussies....looks like Beefy's prediction of a 5-0 whitewash might not be too far off the mark...Shame really as I enjoy the close, exciting Tests much more.

I made my son catch a ferry during the tea break and I still missed two wickets by the time I got back. Now I'm watching they will probably bat for three days.

You did, -DTLW. Nice article and shows why his life was out of the ordinary. You need to pop back and edit the meeting with then German national team coach Sepp Herberger from 1933 to 1953, I believe.

We have a decent lead...which will be hard to chase if we even add only a couple of hundred. If we collapse, the pitch will be even livelier for the Aussies second innings. Should be ok<whistle>

Mind you, you might not bother, because I posted up his demise earlier and it barely caused a ripple. They're all concentrating on England v Australia, and there's no room for anything else.

This still stands. We have a 233 run lead so the plan should be to bat all day tomorrow and declare before lunch on day 4, leaving the Aussies a nominal target of 550-plus.

This conversation can be the wafer-thin ham in the big fat loaf of bread creating the sandwich then.

    It's the story of movies.
