I wish it was Root at 6 instead of Bairstow. I think we really need a big partnership from Trott and Bell.
 
I have to give Clarke credit for switching his bowlers around. Good proactive captaincy.
 
Anyone else think Cook needs to look at the first 3 batters?

I don't think our first 3 are doing good enough.
 
We definitely need better starts but Cook has been quality for a while and Trott is a very good player who (so far) has done well today. There's certainly a question mark over the other opener slot but we don't really have many other options there.
 
Good interview with Steve Waugh at lunch on TMS. Also Dave Richardson of the ICC talking about DRS among other thing.
 
I'm not sure what I think about Henry Blofeld any more. Sometimes I think he's great and sometimes he's quite annoying. Michael Vaughan just seems to laugh at him when they're on together. Makes for odd radio.
 
The Aussies aren't bowling that well I don't think. Too many four balls. If they can tighten up it'll be more of a test. Hopefully they don't!
