The one thing that I find bizarre is we have sold Holt and haven't got a definite replacement lined up which is crazy...
I wouldnt have sold Holt without another striker coming in however, I have faith that we must have plenty of targets available. Maybe Hooper won't come here but I wouldnt want him hear if he chooses to play for QPR. There are other options available we just wont know who they are at this moment in time. I am disapointed to miss out on Hooper (if we do) but the only reason that will happen is because QPR are throwing money around again and if thats the case they clearly havent learnt there lesson.
JK, RvW was here. What I'm saying is weve gone from 3 down to 2 strikers without having a definite replacement. What happens if RvW goes and does his hamstring tonight?
sorry to be a bore but we've gone from 5 to 2 strikers (5 being vaughan,c martin,jackson,holt & becchio)
just for you, neil lennon is quoted as saying celtic haven't accepted any bids for he-who-shall-not-be-named yet. the farce goes on... ...and on...
Grrrrrrrrrrr Why can't he just bloody sign or not. I don't get it: DM "Hi, do you want to sell Gary H?" Celtic "errr ok then how about you make us an offer" DM "How does £4-5m sound?, Does GH want to move to us?" Celtic "Sounds good and yes he does" DM "ok then sorted, can you give me your bank details so we can make the payment?" DM "Hello?" DM "Hello........?" DM "Is anyone there?"
Oh I agree completely that we need another striker (maybe even two). Just competition for Ricky though, no need to break the bank and panic. Plenty of time yet.
Good question. Maybe a team with a striker who isn't totally content with where he is, and would consider a loan with a view to purchase option.
I saw that Feyenoord were interested in taking a fully fit John Guidetti on a season long loan. Maybe we could "intervene" in that arrangement?
