The rumour say they were offering Mata plus cash. I would definately take that. Mata would be great linking with RVP......
If the story is true it means the Chavs are willing to sell Mata. You would hope that AFC are alerted to this
Defo a player I would want in Arsenal colours. He would gel immediately with our style of play. One of the best Prem players last season. Mouth watering link up between him, Cazorla and Wilshere. Class
He hasn't even got close to leaving yet so there's no need to get your Rooney shirt out of the pram and burn it yet
I'm giving this warning only once.If you Chavs & Mancs want to start your silly spats please **** off and do it on your own boards
Chelsea release a statement regarding Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. The statement says: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm that yesterday it made a written offer to Manchester United for the transfer of Wayne Rooney. "Although the terms of the offer are confidential, for avoidance of doubt and contrary to what is apparently being briefed to the press in Sydney, the proposed purchase price does not include the transfer or loan of any players from Chelsea to Manchester United." Looks like they bid but didn't include a player. Are they telling the truth or lying so not to upset the said players?
The press realize their readers are getting sick of #-million figures being invented out of nowhere, so they thought they'd spice it up a bit. Seemed to work.
Mata is slightly ahead of Santi in terms of skill. It'd be a worthless trade. Now Mata in nobody out would be fantastic.
Are they about the same quality? We should see an even better Cazorla next season after experiencing a full season under his belt. Saying that, I would love to take Mata too.....
I'm gonna sound like a blinker brigader here, but sorry pal, we don't need Mata, and I mean that. , we got OHHHHHHHH SANTI CAZORLA, I'd rather we invest our money into a midfield strongman, I think as far as creativity goes from our midfield, we are fine, sure, we'd like it to be stronger, but it's strong as it is and we need to prioritise areas that do need improvement. Now having said that, if we could get Mata without sacrificing needed cash for a midfield strongman, then I wouldn't object though, ;-).
Well, I have to say that the planets have stopped turning and the heavens have aligned here and I agree with 87. If Chelsea are selling Mata (BIG IF) then the reason is because they have too many of these lightweight attackers and not enough decent holding midfielders. Last thing we want to do is overload our midfield the same way.
Our attacking play was awful during the winning run at the end of the season, we could easily accommodate another creative midfielder. Don't believe for a second that Mata is for sale though
