Fair call supers, for the record i reckon we will finish top 10 and hopefully fingers crossed with some luck push to top 6.
Sounds as if quagliarella has turned us down after all. This position seems to be causing problems. 1st toivonen and now Quag... Who next?
no idea what's going on with that one but i've always felt he'll stay in italy. probably end up back at napoli now cavani has left
I think its only causing us problems because we are aiming high. If we were being rejected by nobodies I would be worried but both Toivonen and Quag are both seasoned international players. Saying that, I hope we dont start running out of targets.
they did just get £55m for cavani. in fact, i wouldn't bet against juve thinking that will end up being his destination and therefore think that they can squeeze a bit more money out of any potential deal
Napoli have made a bid for higuan... Take a pause, and think of all those arsenal season ticket holders
Hosiner is an interesting one, certainly scored a lot last season, and from memory he's a decent age, but is the Austrian league even championship standard? I don't think he's really a creative influence in the team, so wouldn't be a replacement for failed OT and FQ bids. I guess if he was a cheap alternative to Hooper, and it allowed us to sign a better creative player I'd take him, but I'm not really convinced he'd be much better than Becchio or Kamara
Fine Kamara, but we haven't seen hardly anything of Becchio to judge, why do so many people think he's a poor player?, give him a chance!
at least we are trying hard to get strikers, and it's making for a very exciting window discussing people with exotic-sounding names
no confirmation of this but qpr's bid is understood to be £5.3m up front(!) with a further £1.5m–£2m in variable add ons. no wonder we've backed off if that's right. we'll be offering installments i expect and we certainly won't be offering a total deal worth £7m for hooper
"Quagliarella has rejected the Norwich proposal, he prefers to stay Italy - via TJ Live from the Hilton Hotel in Milano." https://twitter.com/ADP1113 oh well, we need another exotic sounding name, has to be latin!
at least QPR are learning to buy younger players Is £7m over-priced? it's a market so who knows. transfermarkt have him at £4.5m, so £7m does feel over the odds
its his contract situation which makes the fee seem high. i felt if we were going to buy him in january £7m was the most we should offer - now i think the most is £5m. qpr don't care what they spend - they just signed richard dunne on £35k a week. they've learnt nothing from the past two years, nothing at all. that's why i still feel we might get hooper because if the player isn't swayed by qpr's stupid wage offer then we come back into the game. to be honest, i'm so bored of it all. we've been discussing it since january!
I really can't see hooper in the championship, even if it means bigger wages for him irrelevant that QPR bids the highest fee if he rejects them also agreed with supers, this is getting a little boring now
di santo is quite a tidy little player but he doesn't score any goals. wouldn't be dead against it but there are definitely better options
