How awful. I feel so sorry for Lea. Glee's just not gonna be the same, and all the many songs I have on my MP3 player with him in now have an added poignancy (especially Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life))

Glee is one of the worst things to happen to music. The amount of songs that get bastardised by that show is unbelievable.

Don't know how people can listen to Glee. Also don't know how some people feel sad when a celeb kills himself with drugs. Plenty of others lose their life each day who have lived far less then him.

Well said. Nothing else to add to what you said.

I agree. However, I am still a little upset about Brittany Murphy.

For me, it's all about the summer of 09. What a summer that was. And the weather was hot as well. Though rather than Thin Lizzy or whover, I kept hearing Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams and Beautiful by Akon. Good times.

Bet you didn't know that song is about the sex position, not the year.

Glee!!!!!!!! You are joking right?

Even my 13 year old daughter has better taste than that.

Man, you need a serious musical education, Glee ffs.......

Wasn't that because of mould in their house or something rather than drugs?

Yeah, it seems like a plausible explanation to me. She did have some medications in her system at the time, which is why they attributed it to that at first, but then her husband died in the same house just a few months later of the same illness that she'd been taking meds for. I'm not sure if they did ever determine for sure that it was actually the mould that did it, but it seems far too coincidental not to be the case.

I've always thought it was weird that her death didn't get much media coverage. She was a pretty big actress.

It did seem quite brushed over - was there another famous death at around the same time? I know everybody forgot about Farrah Fawcett because of Michael Jackson.

Looking at chronological lists of famous deaths, the closest one to her that I recognise is Robert Enke, and that was about five weeks previous. So no, I don't think there was another famous death that outdid Brittany.

The major news stories on that day were a record-breaking blizzard in North America, which did kill a few people, and Rage Against the Machine topping the UK singles chart.

Rage was pretty big news I guess, just not very important. It's strange though, you'd think a pretty, young famous female who died in mysterious circumstances would be very big news, but apparently not. I can only remember hearing about it for the day it happened, then it getting quickly brushed from everyone's minds.

Ah **** they are making another Die Hard film. It's called Die Hardest and is going to be set in Tokyo.

Popular culture has a pretty short memory, and it had been 3-4 years since she was in anything significant and live-action. That's pretty much all it takes to fall off the face of the world.

Back from Spain and found out that I got a 2:1 for my degree. <party>

Congratulations. Your parents will be very proud. You must have worked very hard and you deserve all the rewards that this brings you.

My neighbour's lad who also graduated with a 2:1 but last year is still doing gardening work to earn a living.

I really hope you achieve your ambition now you've graduated.
