Don't know whether this has been posted yet but... HULL City's Paul McShane has admitted he doesn't know where he'll be playing his football in 2011-12. The 25-year-old is set to face Macedonia in the green of the Republic of Ireland on Saturday after impressing in the Home Nations Cup for Giovanni Trapattoni's eventual winners. But after a mixed 2010-11 at the KC Stadium â during which he was loaned out to Barnsley â McShane is unsure of his future with the Tigers. He said: "It is strange, very strange. I think the manager says he wants me to stay for next season, but I don't know. If you look at the team photo from last year everyone has gone." http://www.thisishullandeastriding....re-future/article-3620450-detail/article.html Dow we still need him, or is he just taking up salary?
i don't completely dislike him. he's clearly inferior to rosenior but as a back-up at this level he's solid and dependable and always willing to put his all in. the problem is he isn't on a back-up's wages.
Depends how many defenders we sign. Currently we have: Rosenior Chester Cooper Dudgeon as our back 4, with Dawson as a covering left back. I'd rather see him go as he's supposedly on £20k but if we only sign one centre half we'll need to hang on to him, as he can also cover right back.
I feel more or less the same. If we are to let him go, we'll need a couple of back-up defenders already lined up. Defenders who can play in multiple positions well are hard to come buy imho.
He always tried his best for us, and he put as much effort into one game as Jimmy did in all his games put together. At times he may not have being good enough and he is nowhere near as good as Rosenior, but at least he tried. Just he is not good enough unfortunately.
C'mon, if he somehow agreed to take a 50% pay cut putting his wages down to around 7,000 p/w I wouldn't mind having him. He's committed and this season has shown some sparks of inspiration. Not bad back-up at all. But of course, we could probably do a little better.
He's a good squad player but should be moved on. His wages are too much for a player not good enough to command a first team place. Bet he's on a lot more than Rosie.
Good squad player, on far too much for what he's worth and as with Bullard we could use what we save on his wages to add to the current squad. He could do a job in the championship if played regularly, but you could see the gulf in class between him and Rosenior. TWF, stop being cantankerous!
