Arsene and RVP also had a very tight relationship. A few years ago I always looked at our squad and thought "RVP is the only guy I can see retiring at Arsenal" and even now that he is winning trophies at United and is their main man, I know that he still loves Arsenal. At the end of the day, football is a profession to these guys, sentiment very seldom comes first. Cesc will do what he thinks is best for Cesc, I just hope he doesn't think the answer is a move to Manchester.
Taken from Fabs wiki page "On 15 August 2011, Barcelona signed Fà bregas for an initial fee of €29 million with a further €5 million in variables.[67][68] ending one of the most protracted transfer sagas in recent times. Statistics show that in the 5 years prior to Fà bregas's departure from Arsenal football club, Fà bregas created 466 goal-scoring chances, made 75 assists and scored 30 goals, all 3 statistics topping those of new team mates Xavi Hernández and Andrés Iniesta despite both having made more appearances in the same period." It's amazing how a man so good can still end up on the bench.
He is the best playmaker in the world, he is so underrated it is unbelievable. It will kill me to see him in a United jersey, painful enough seeing him in Barca colors.
Right, COPE, who broke the Thiago to Bayern story days before the rest have now said Thiago Silva will sign for Barcelona for 42million euros. Im thinking Barcelona dont have that sort of money lying around after spending big on neymar so the 20million or so they have from Thiago my not be enough which means someone else has to go. Like buy a house in a chain.
Tell me about it. Just imagine with him back and a top striker, we would be back to the top of the pile again. Just imagine how Fabs, Cazorla and Wilshere would work?
Have said all Summer that Fabregas and Rooney were my dream signings, if we got Cesc and Suarez it would be beyond a dream. Which is why it probably won't happen
It doesn't have to be a dream, we have the money to buy these kind of players. We will have to wait and see what happens at the end of the transfer window i'm afraid, so be prepared for more frustration....
Regarding Suarez, don't know if it has been mentioned or not but Sky Sources claim he is open to a move to Arsenal and that we have only made one bid which is close to £35M. I really hope that we truly believe this deal is a possibility and that we are not just wasting our time. It would be a horror show if we missed out on Higuain and Rooney to Napoli and Chelsea respectively whilst Madrid swoop in and take Suarez out of our hands.
This is my personal view but i'd have been more worried about Fabregas signing for Stretford if Ferguson had still been manager
Hope Cesc hasn't forgot about this...http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...er-Emirates-tunnel-bust-up-article688007.html
I agree with you about him improving other teams but I still think Stretford will find it harder attracting players now Ferguson's gone.I also think Arsenal would find it harder to attract certain players if Wenger left.Certain players only sign for a team because of who the manager is in my opinion
You have a point, but Fergie is some sort of club ambassador so they might still be able to attract players.
As i've said a few times already Fabregas would be my first choice signing for Arsenal.(Even though it's not a position we really' NEED' to strengthen) However with Thiago now sold to Bayern Munich the chances of Barca selling Fabregas are extremely slim.
I already said that you plagiarising **** Can't see Cesc going to Manure to be honest. Firstly because Fergie has gone and they are now an unknown, secondly because I honestly believe he feel that it would be betraying Arsenal and thirdly because I don't see him leaving Barca for a few seasons yet.
Either way it's interesting times in the Premier league. Will they maintain the momentum or will they struggle to gel. My guess is Moyes won't change things too much.
I'm just about old enough to remember Matt Busby retiring. It was only a few years later that Stretford got relegated. Here's hoping for a case of Deja Vu
