Nixon was right on a fair few of our deals last summer, what's gone wrong?!

I'm sure he gets a lot of information through by working at the Mirror rather than actually having inside info himself. Then if the story gets quiet because it's nearing completion, he gets bored and needs to make a story from nothing.

Wow that article was a terrible piece of writing, without even talking about the content. His, sentences are really short, have no flow and he has paragraphs which are a few words long!

Edit: Sorry i meant to post this on the Victor thread my bad

From the L:adbrokes site. "Wanyama has been highly coveted by the likes of Man Utd in the past, particularly after starring against Barcelona in the Champions League last season, but the decision has been made to further his development at a slightly lesser level first before moving to a top-four club. The 22-year-old would look an ideal fit into Mauricio Pochettino’s high-energy, pressing game and it is doubtful that he will be the last signing of the summer at St Mary’s.One growing link is with Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo, who is undoubtedly talented but also somewhat of a troubled soul. This would be a monumental coup and perhaps even eclipse Wanyama in terms of its impressiveness."

Why aren't we all a bit more excited? since the first thread on summer transfers started we stressed three main things:

a)the need to keep hold of our best young players and offer them new contracts to keep them here throughout the "project"
b)the need to add quality not quantity to the squad
c)the need to offload players who are sadly no longer good enough

It looks like between now and the weekend we will have a serious tick in all three of these boxes! We've waited 300 odd pages of waffle for this. Surely we should be more upbeat than we are!

Confirmation of the Wanyama signing will make everyone happier I think. Need to see some more movement in terms of item C though.

Think most of us are upbeat. Tomorrow will be a great day if Victor signs and Luke confirms he'll stay. Plenty of time to bring more in.

Daily Mirror are reporting that Cork is set to sign a new contract within a week.

Wasn't really sure where to put it, here seemed the most appropriate.

He likes pirates. A very informative interview
Would like a fresh rumor as we're going round in circles. Someone make some **** up

Well we have 2 of the members of Pink Floyd living in Brighton, and another not a million miles away in Weybridge. Surely then he'd be hugely happy at Saints.....

Interesting that he started touting the Everton stuff just after he was having a poorly disguised pop at Nicola and his 'inexperience' in the marketplace. He also wasn't at MP's press conference a couple of days after. Smells to me like a falling out with the club and a man with a bit of an axe to grind.

Why would he be at Pochettino's press conference? He doesn't cover us specifically, like Peach for example, and I don't think he's ever been to one before. Don't think that theory holds much water to be honest.

Ah fair enough, my mistake though, I thought he was based down here and covering Saints.
