Just dreaming but what if Chelski bought Benteka they would have a surplus of forwards. Perhaps Pouch could have a word with his mate The Special One to let us have that youngster Lukaku who would only sit on the bench. If we had him and Banega then am sure I would get a crick in the neck looking up the league instead of the usual pain in the arse looking down.
Just been woken up by a man in a white coat!

I wouldn't be surprised if that great friendship has been exaggerated to be honest. I'm sure they are acquaintances, but I wouldn't expect too many favours from Mourinho, he must be 'friends' with almost every manager in Europe.

Osvaldo should probably be moved at least to tenuous as well since we have the Roma directors on record discussing our bid for him! Not that I think it will happen now, but we definitely did make a bid.

Yeah, I think AvB might be the only guy in the league who has a genuinely particularly close relationship with Mourinho.

Ha! I think I hate you!

Uruguay still in the U20s World Cup and play Iraq tonight, amazing how far Iraq have gone in the tournament, fair play to them.

Yeah maybe the only reason why we haven't signed him. :p

Didn't Jordan and Uzbekistan make the playoff for next year's World Cup?

Also if Chelsea are gonna let a striker go, it'll be Demba Ba.

Rising football power. Won the Asian cup in 2007, despite the war and having to train outside Iraq. Now that was a great achievement.

I can't help but feel a terrible guilt about Iraq. Don't think you can put all of their troubles down to 'the west' but I don't think we did much to help the situation. So I do hope they get some joy from somewhere, and football is as good a place as any.

Can't see why we'd be after Kouyaté; with Lovren and Wanyama do we need another central defender/defensive midfielder?
All depends who we sell, if we sell Fonte and Hooiveld that would mean Lovren,Yoshida and Forren left. So I wouldn't rule it out completely.

Irak have a long history of getting the best out of thier players, the promise of a bullet in the back of the head is a great motivation.

for those not on tw@tter, what does he say?

There's basically been a big scandal at Roma where two of the top dogs (responsible for transfers and on the board) were recorded talking about transfer policies. The bit that concerns us is that Man City bid has gone quiet and that they hope fan pressure forces him to Southampton.

Pretty much confirms we have made a bid.

Absolute shambles for Roma though!
