Has osvaldo had any problems before Roma tho? Maybe it's just the whole culture there.

You can't pass up that level of quality for around £9m or so, eccentric history or not.

Good informative post. You're right that some players who have had disciplinary problems in the past can be "rehabilitated", but there comes a point when there are enough of those bad apples to cause a real problem, and indeed if Banega has persistent bad habits off the pitch then that will hold him back whether he is in a positive environment in training or not.

If we do sign him I'll be excited because he's a good player, and I'll of course hope we can make him into a success here, but I have my reservations.
 
Nicola obviously loves running a football club with all the wheeling and dealing (and let's not forget the power). He had experience in sport financing and, one day, he just thought I could do better than that. Glad he did.

Bueno has just scored a late equaliser for Uruguay U20s, good volleyed finish into the bottom corner from about 16 yards. He'd been crap until that.
 
I can understand why Damiao is taking his time to decide between Napoli and Southampton, seeing as both are near the ruins of Pompeii.

Just seen the replay of the goal. He did really well in the buildup of the goal too, ran it through midfield and slotted it to some guy who dinked it into the box, it was headed down to Bueno who continued his run all the way into space. Impressive.

Still wouldn't mind him here but £8m is too much. Plus the fact if we did sign him for £8m and he has one bad game etc the moaners will start.

Yeah, even if it's like £2m, with another £6m depending on playing 50 games and scoring 20 goals and playing 20 times for Uruguay etc, the reported fee would still be £6m which would have people on his back straight away. Gotta say though, since the goal he's been class, played a couple of smart balls, put in some very dangerous crosses etc.
