NEIL LENNON may get 12 and a half million reasons to sign a replacement for Victor Wanyama.

But Beram Kayal can think of one reason he shouldn’t — HIM.

What do you reckon can kayal fill wanyama's shoes? He'll need to toughen up if he thinks he can do what the big man does.

He can't do what Wanyama does but he can do what Kayal did 2.5 years ago. If he can get to that level and be a bit more disciplined I reckon he can do the job.

His attitude has always been his problem. He thinks he's better than he actually is. When he first joined he played like someone with a point to prove now he struts about as if he's made it. Hopefully that spell on the sidelines is the boot up the arse he needs but I doubt it.

His development has certainly progressed well with us and as you say, he has earned us big money but he's far from the finished article so it will be interesting to see how he fares in the EPL ... presumably, if he achieves his apparent full potential and becomes much sought after, there will be more money to come our way through sell-on fees. A good deal for us in any case.

I said last year he will end up in one of the really big teams in Europe, I think he's that good. I suspect if he's half as good as we think he is then he will leave Soton after a season.

Said it before on here that he's a quality player . Will do well with Soton I don't doubt .

Can't see Lennon getting a decent cut of his transfer fee though . That will go the same way as the McGeady money . Might get a slice if you qualify for the CL

Southampton have a good pedigree of developing players.

I am disappointed it wasn't a bit more and disappointed it wasn't a bigger club but that said, they are one of the few clubs outside of the big ones that can showcase our system.

I hope you are right and I think he may have the opportunity at Southampton to further develop but to be honest, I also think the EPL could actually stifle his progress - academic now but I would have preferred to have seen him go to La Liga or Bundesliga.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon admits Gary Hooper could have played his last game for the club.
Hooper, who was the subject of bids from Norwich and Hull earlier this year, has a year left on his contract and wants to return to England.
The 25-year-old, whose pre-season has been disrupted by a groin strain, did not feature in Celtic's 3-0 defeat by Union Berlin last night - their fourth friendly loss in Germany ahead of Wednesday's Champions League qualifier against Cliftonville.
Lennon told several national newspapers: "It will be difficult to convince Gary to stay. He has not featured much in pre-season and the games start in earnest for us on Wednesday night.
"So he'd have a bit of catching up to do and I don't know where his mind is at the minute.
"Has he played his last game for Celtic? Never say never but it's looking more and more that way."
Lennon lost Victor Wanyama to Southampton in midweek and believes he needs further reinforcements after bringing in Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk and Portuguese striker Amido Balde.
He said: "I haven't spoken to Peter Lawwell yet about bringing someone in but we need two or three players if we're going to get back into the Champions League."

TONY WATT is set to be the first casualty of Neil Lennon’s summer rebuilding at Celtic — just months after sinking Barcelona.

The striker will be allowed to leave on loan if Celts receive a suitable offer.

Watt, 19, shot to fame when he fired the winner in the stunning 2-1 Champions League win over Barca in November.

He was rewarded with a new four-year contract but scored just one more goal last season.

Now he faces a tough job convincing Lennon he should be part of his plans — despite the Hoops boss losing a host of strikers from his injury-hit squad, including Lassad, Miku and, most likely, Gary Hooper.

I would be amazed if Watt was allowed to go out on loan, I thought of him as a key player for the future.
