Some chap from Sky Italia says you will sign Higuain for 27million within 48 hours. Not sure if posted already so sorry if it is. I'll try find the tweet/report. Edit its same as above I think.
Good to see some direct quotes from Higuain's father about negotiations being at a 'very advanced stage'
A 5 year deal would be better, but 3 years isn't bad. I'd be more worried if I were a spud hearing that Paulinho wants to spend 'a year' at another club and will be back at Corinthians soon.
I'll be happy whatever the contract is but 3 years sounds suspiciously like keeping the door open for a bigger future move to me..
He didn't say "a year", he said he will definitely see them again soon. But he aint going back to Brazil till the end of his career and so whether he stays at (or joins) Spurs, he is won't be back there for 5+ years. I was wondering what the Spurs angle would be on the Higuain transfer
Paulinho said he'd see the Corinthians fans soon. You know, cos they're in Brazil, where the World Cup's being hosted next season. Would you care to connect the military coup in Egypt to Spurs, next?
I can't see the contract being as short as three years. We could could end up being butt ****ed if he refused to sign a new contract and we had to sell him after two years or risk letting him leave on a free transfer
I took it to mean that he'd spend a year at spurs in the hope that he could use it as a stepping stone to a big club.
I believe that the dissatisfaction of the fledgling democracy in Egypt and the rigid rule of Mohammed Morsi can be directly linked to the autocratic behavior of Daniel Levy at Spurs FC
Totally agree, it would put Arsenal in a very vulnerable position. A standard 5 year deal should be on the table.
If the rumours about the transfer fee and wages are correct it would cost Arsenal in the region of £35 million over two years and then he could end up leaving.
Sometimes when you read the kind of figures involved in football, it makes you shudder. So much money for potentially so little time....
