Animals don't cook though so in one respect at least we are superior to animals.

If you're going to slag off northerners at least get the spelling correct you stupid unwashed weegie ****.
To be fair I had never had stovies until I started going out with the wife, her maw made it and i've used her recipe ever since. The real stovies recipe has "No meat", just dripping.
Utter bollocks you baldy twat.
It's left over meat that the dish is based on.
****in dealing with amateurs here.

'I'm probably going to regret this but can someone please explain to this English imbecile what exactly a stovie is?
What would you know Nigel? You're not even Scotch.
Here's one variation Dan.
Get a Huge ****ing pot and fill it with chopped Carrots, Onions, Peeled potatoes and about 16 link sausages (Pork or beef). Add about 2 pints of beef stock and bring to the boil, then a rolling boil or simmer until the carrots and tatties are soft. Serve in a bowl with bread, butter and brown sauce.

I usually add some gravy granules at the end just to thicken it up. 2 Onions, half a dozen Carrots and about 2or 3 lbs of spuds.
