Def a better display than the previous game, players lack the willingness to run at the other team and when they did it resulted in a goal. The fullbacks do not push forward either. The team is whiter than a KKK meeting and our blond bombers are really struggling with the heat. The defence were generally sound, midfield tidy but never really took control which is generally how JWP could be described, he takes all corners and indirect freekicks and had a good chance on the edge of the box where he beat a player by bringing the ball off his left onto his right but his shot was blocked, I would give him 7 out of 10 which was generally higher than the rest of the team. Kane will be the new Heskey, England picked up with the introduction of Pritchard and Cole

I thought JWP was one of the better players for England. He didn't attack too much, held his position, lets Barkley play in the creative role and ran loads more than his midfield partner. He put in a couple of decent set plays and had THAT chance but cut back one too many times.

Buenowatch lasted only 10 minutes again. Had one great moment soon after coming on where he won the ball off one, skinned another and sprinted past a third, but the guy he played through was offside. Other than that, some good speed, but lost the ball through trying to dribble rather than play a few times.

On the other hand, the Uzbek left winger was taking the piss, so maybe we should get him instead.

Funnily enough it was rather atypical of the English attitude - when you see a Brazilian team, they're singing it loud and proud like they mean it. I know our tune is something of a dirge, but there's just no passion there at all is there?

JWP subbed off
England playing as a group of individuals upfront. Some of England's control has been shocking.
Nice goal from Trezeget for Egypt.
Horrendous miss from Kane(new Donkey striker)

That's a more than fair assessment from what I've seen. The main problem with them playing as individuals is that even individually they're not much good! Doesn't bode particularly well for the future.

2-0 defeat to Egypt.

Their players seem to just want it more and worked harder.
Another reminder that English football needs an overhaul way beyond building fancy facilities.

It's a sense of teamwork togetherness and pride. Real basic stuff but lost amongst these players.

Do you think it's anything that the English players collectively probably earn double the combined salaries of the Iraqi, Egyptian and Chilean players? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

All the the players that play for prem teams will be on upwards of a 1000 aweek prowse included, just like the other England teams they will go home to there lovely lives not really giving too hoots.

Not all of them but most of those players probe will be capped at full honours, not looking bright

England were very bland. We might have just got through with bit of luck, but there was no way we get any further or win the thing. It was just pass ...the ball, lose the ball...no real sign that anything would happen. We are not going to see a decent England side for a while.
