I've only glanced at it a few times, but it seems to be mainly gore and shock porn.

Funnily enough the first albums I owned (given by my uncle) were Led Zeppelin I, II and III... To be honest I'm not sure I've ever actually bought an album myself, I've only got 15 or so and those have been birthday and Christmas gifts, the library of music I listen to now is still 80% the same as the one I downloaded when I was about 13.

Just read this article on the daily mail

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-2346937/Doncaster-Belles-betrayed-FA--Laura-Williamson.html

One bit in particular stood out:

"The Belles will be replaced by Manchester City in the FA WSL 1 in 2014 after being penalised for.... ground- sharing with the men’s team."

What the actual ****?! That's a good thing! I can't believe they're actually getting penalised for that! For goodness sake, why the **** should women play in tiny stadiums are far flung places miles from the place their team supposedly represents?! Why the **** should Arsenal Ladies play in Boreham-bloody-wood and not the Emirates? Why should Chelsea play in friggin' Staines and not Stamford Bridge? How about we have Chelsea men play their home games in Staines and see how they like it?! As far as I'm concerned, playing in the same stadium as the men should be a requirement for WSL1. Jeez, I can't believe the FA's medieval attitude, it completely goes back to the days where women's teams were banned from playing on FA registered pitches back in the 1920s. It's completely unfair and not right at all.

Interesting signs of the times in how we accessed our music. A few months after LZII was released, I bicycled to Suttons, in Shirley, where I always bought my records [singles prior to this first album]. I could have taken the LP into a booth to listen to it, but I'd already heard a few Zeppelin tracks as my older brother had LZI, and I was convinced this was going to be great. No accompanying videos remember, to hold up any weakness in the music. But no chance of that. Led Zeppelin had burst on the scene a fully formed progressive rock group, and stormed to the top of practically everyone's appreciation. I think that LP cost £1.99, or more accurately, £1,19s/11d. I still have it and it is in superb playing condition, with barely a click on the entire record. Of course, I have Led Zed albums on my computers, but they are recordings of my LPs. I couldn't really have it any other way.

    Same here.

Copying CDs while watching, which made the commentary sound slightly odd. Then again, old Chris Harris always sounds a bit odd, but he's a proper legend in two wheeled sport. Good race too. Typical Moto3, ie being better than you expect, and Assen is such a good circuit too. I may end up missing the big one until tomorrow night. Don't worry, you can tell me the result. :)

Just noticed they've taken out the chicane on the back straight too, been replaced by two kinks that can be done near enough flat out. Fantastic <ok>

My uncle also has a fairly extensive LP collection, he used to play them all the time and I can thank him for opening my eyes to the fantastic music of the last generation before I was sucked up in to the current one, which now is just like noise to me for the most part. I remember I asked him if I could have some to take home and obviously he wouldn't trust me with one of his records and I didn't have a table anyway, so next time I visited he had bought me some CDs and he seemed almost disappointed to be giving them to me or holding them at all haha. A few years later I was scrolling through my music library and asked if he could suggest anything else to add to my 'collection' and he cut me off with "That's not a collection!" "Why?" "You didn't pay for them and they're not even real!" "Why would I pay for them, what do you mean?"... He looked aghast, I think he realised what he had set in motion was not what he had wanted whatsoever! <laugh>

I don`t know much about rugby, but the jockless Lions just lost to Australia - last year Scotland beat Australia in Australia. There has been a lot of bluster that it would be a whitewash for the Lions - maybe Gatland has his selection wrong ?

I have to admit I'm only an occasional rugby viewer (I.e. mostly only big internationals), but the whole idea of the Lions seems a bit daft to me, when there's only about 10 or so proper rugby playing nations in the world, having four of them gang up on one of the others seems a bit silly to me these days but I suppose it's probably just tradition. And we can't seem to have the level of dominance we should do anyway so maybe it doesn't matter haha.
