Most players are chilling out under a palm tree on an exotic beach or on a yacht in the middle of a beautiful blue ocean.

Perhaps that's why not many deals are going through...

I don't understand why people are getting so impatient this summer. We signed Lovren 12 days ago. We're not going to sign someone every week; we'll have too many players if we do.

I'm delighted it's gone quiet to be honest. If there's no rumours, perhaps there's deals being negotiated with respectful clubs/agents/players who want to work with Saints, therefore not willing to upset the applecart - I think the Wanyama noise was being made because he wasn't coming to Saints, and therefore Agent Cockwomble had to make some racket to get other clubs interested.

Silence can, in this case, be golden.

Good use of CockWomble. - I'm beginning to think we need a Cockwombleometer stickied at the top so we know ho many cockwombles have been found ;)

Does it matter what nationality the players being linked with us are, really? I wouldn't want Phillips or Sinclair at that.

Probably only to me! It's just that if I support my local team I would ideally like to see a splattering of local players in there. Failing that, to see players we have nurtured from a young age. Failing that, the 'local' bit goes to a national level.

I can watch and appreciate Italian and Spanish football on Sky TV. I'd rather not turn into a Chelski or Man city and watch it on my home turf week in week out.

In fairness, we're probably in the top one or two (along with Man U) when it comes to bringing talent through

Genuinely couldn't care less what nationalites our players are. Off the top of my head I can't think of 1 English player who we could reastically get who I want.

Nationalities aren't important, but I do want them to be able to communicate, bond and get along with each other.

I agree. Bar Hart, Rooney and Gerrard I can't think of any that are better than what we already have and are available.

I'd rather have Redmond than Ince but we already have youngsters at the club with bags of potential. If we are going to compete in the top 10 we need players who can perform now not in a couple of years.
