    I completely agree. There's a picture of her on the article, you could be forgiven for thinking that she was far older than 17. It's not like he groomed her or anything. She's a prostitute and has probably slept with countless men. If he didn't sleep with her, presumably someone else would have done. It certainly doesn't seem like a crime worthy of 7 years in prison, if even a crime at all.

    Well it wouldn't be a crime if she hadn't been a prostitute, as the age of consent in Italy is 16. It makes sense that prostitutes should be over 18, but she's the one who broke that law, surely?

    Seven years is the kind of sentence a guy could expect for rape or manslaughter, so this really is twisted.

    He's not going to Jail , this is the lowest tier of Italian Justice , he has two more levels to appeal to ....

    He will stay out of jail , she will be rich..............

    Most likely, yeah, but it's still very worrying that that's the sentence. It says a lot for the moral codes of the Italian legislature/judiciary.
