    Him and Steed are by far the most skillful i've seen at the club. Really want to see Sess have a full Paolo season but like you say, if it's 20mil then we have to take it.

    Reports are coming out of China today that suggest Stephane Sessegnon could be on the verge of a move to Tianjin Teda of the Chinese Super League.

    According to a reporter for the Tianjin TV show 'Sports Vision', Li Zhikun;

    A month has passed .... The result is not bad. A black hand to lead successful fight against relegation, this experience is very important to welcome you, Sessegnon.

    In a press conference, Tianjin's manager, Alexandre Guimarães, refused to acknowledge that Sessegnon had joined his team;

    Up until now, from what I know the news, the outside world is just hearsay. Currently, there is no intention to reach even foreign aid and clubs to complete the transaction, at least, I know nothing about it.

    But sources inside the club were quick to confirm that Sessegnon is close to completing a move to Tianjin and a club official refused to confirm or deny the move but did suggest a transfer surprise was in the offing once their transfer window opens;

    We have a great choice of foreign aid on hand, but fame is not small, need to wait until the publication of the list, it will give bring a surprise to outsiders.

    There are suggestions that Shanghai Shenhua were also interested in Sessegnon, with a club insider saying;

    Originally, Shanghai Shenhua also spotted Sessegnon, but taking into account the needs of TEDA and their fight against relegation, Shenhua were very generous to give up chase.

    Whether there is any truth to these claims remain to be seen but Sessegnon has been consistently linked with a move away from the club since the season ended, with Marseille one of the clubs linked. However any move was supposed to be because of Sessegnon wanting a return to France, so a prospective move to China will undoubtedly bring comparisons to Asamoah Gyan, who moved to an inferior league for big money.

    If a move for Sessegnon does materialise, it will only add more money to the coffers and with Mignolet's move to Liverpool edging closer, Sunderland should have plenty of money to spend in the transfer market. One thing is for sure, this squad overhaul is in full swing and come the Fulham game, the first XI will be unrecognisable from the team that lost to Spurs on the final day of last season.

    Don't expect him to leave to China, maybe France.

    Be gutted if he leaves. Without him we've no spark

    He's not been an out and out striker, played a lot in centre midfield, a bit on the right, and often off the striker.

    He's very, very skilful and creative, he's very like Sess, quick feet, low centre of gravity, and beats men for fun.

    You say 4 in 14 at Brum, totally sidestepping the fact that he was utterly superb and eye catching for them, stats only get you so far.

    On the Sess deal, makes perfect sense, he wants to be closer to France, and Chine=a is just down the road from France ;)

      已到了保级最危急时刻的天津泰达队,极可能完成今年中超二次转会中最震撼的转会。有消息称,目前泰达俱乐部已经接近签约英超桑德兰队中场球星塞塞尼翁。
      作为贝宁历史上最为成功的球员,今年29岁的塞塞尼翁成名于法甲巴黎圣日尔曼队。在2008至2009赛季法甲联赛中,塞塞尼翁被称为法甲最全面的中场球员之一。尽管身高只有1.72米,但是塞塞尼翁的个人盘带能力极强,可以胜任前腰、右边前卫和组织型后腰等多个位置。2011年,塞塞尼翁以600万英镑的身价从巴黎来到英超桑德兰队。在英超赛场上,塞塞尼翁的表现依然抢眼。在上个赛季出场的35场联赛中,塞塞尼翁为桑德兰队攻入7球并献上6次助攻,成为球队保级的功臣之一。
      塞塞尼翁与桑德兰队的合同要到2015年6月30日到期,而其在欧洲转会市场上的身价在1000万欧元左右。如果塞塞尼翁真能加盟泰达队,那么将有两个疑问随之而来。一是塞塞尼翁到底是正式转会还是租借?要知道,泰达队800万欧元的引援费用中还包括了外援的薪资。如果真用800万欧元搞定塞塞尼翁的正式转会费加上薪水,那泰达俱乐部确实做了一笔相当划算的买卖。另外,塞塞尼翁的到来将会让哪位外援走人?从此前的情况来看,已因伤缺阵将近一个月的尤万西奇一直是离队大热门,但塞塞尼翁的位置是在中场。这样一来,迪尼尔森的处境又变得危险起来。一旦塞塞尼翁加盟,不排除尤万西奇转为替补,瓦伦西亚改踢前锋的可能。
      对于塞塞尼翁的加盟,泰达俱乐部方面依然显得相当谨慎。俱乐部方面目前还没有正面回应。球队主帅吉马良斯也表示自己没有听到任何引进新援的消息。

    to be fair i did say "i remembered him being on fire and everyone raving about him" and according to ESPN he hasnt got all that many assists even though for some reason it doesnt even have his loan deals.

    I havnt seen him play for ages so we may not even get him yet but if we do, lets wait and see.

    Sky sources understand Stephane Sessegnon has been told he can leave Sunderland, but he is not interested in the rumoured move to China.

    Reports emerged this week that Tianjin Teda were interested in the forward, but Sky Tyne and Wear understands he would not consider a move from the north east of England to the north east of China.

    A source close to the player insists he is happy at Sunderland and was willing to commit his future to the club.

    The source told Sky Tyne and Wear: "He [Sessegnon] has been told he can go.

    "He was very happy to commit and stay at Sunderland but if the club wants a clear-out what can you do?"

    Work is under way to find the Benin international a new club but a move is not imminent, with the source adding: "At the moment it is quiet."

    If we are pushing him out, as this suggests, I will be ****ing furious.

    If he wanted to go, I'd accept it, but pushing your best player out is a ****ing joke.

    There is a difference between being told you can leave and being told you have to leave.

    No one in the squad is safe and I yhink thats how it shouod be.
