Didn't mind too much getting some overs of Bopara and Root in, as otherwise if SA did manage to stay in we would have been stuck with them bowling the last ten overs which could have been catastrophic, but didn't like bowling them together, would have preferred rotating them alongside Anderson and Tredwell so we still had a threat at one end.

Bopara I don't mind because he's a useful bowler. Root on the other hand is not a bowler and was expensive.

Bugger, Cook's gone. Now the swashbuckling strokemaker that is Jonathan Trott <sarcastic smiley> comes in.
 
Trott gets too much flak, he has a better strike rate than bell, and his average is incredible.
 
Well he's made a decent start, let's hope he builds on it. Good to see them keeping on top of the run rate anyway.

And we have Pietersen who is on the way back - he's playing for Surrey this week.
 
this isn't even a game where we need to worry about run rates
